You do realize churning $12m of your cap costs assets right? You can buy out Dvorak or Armia, Harris and Kovacevic are waiver players

Hell no. Maybe in the 1st period but he has looked amazing in these past 3games. 2 points thus far and he doesn’t look lost. Gave a shot to imama and he’s very solid. Impressive for someone making his NA debuts.

Scraps aren’t getting Necas. The likelihood for any of those pieces to end up as good or better than Necas are slim at best.

Futures don't interest Carolina. Gotta start with a roster piece that will interest them, probably Caufield. Otherwise, there's no deal here

If y’all can’t resign Necas why do you think you’ll fit Caufield’s 8M AAV.

Why would we not be able to re-sign Necas...? 30 million in cap space, and not exactly any true stars to re-sign.

To Dump 5M with 2years left it would cost a 1st. Here Isles still pick 26.

So 16 + Pageau for 26 is fair imo.

Toronto did 25 and Mrazek for 38. Mrazek cap hit was 3.8x2 i think.

Delusional. Sooner or later old man Lou will either be fired or come to realize the Isles are way to old and need more youth to retool/rebuild, so trading up in the 1st round is the LAST thing they need to do. If they wanted to, the could trade Pageau with some salary retention.

Sabres don't do that. There's also a buyout function

It would really depend on how the first 13 picks play out and how the Isles have the remaining prospects ranked. I don't think it's out of the question if they think the next ten or so prospects are pretty even, and there is a UFA target they are confident in signing with that $5MM savings.

If this was on the table the Sens should definitely consider doing something similar to upgrade our BOS 2024 1st rounder.
