If any Bluejacket fans rejecting this they might be mentally ill. A lottery pick this year, a former lottery pick, and a second rounder for Jenner is an absolute fleece by CBJ

Sharks say yes only if Skinner agrees to not getting bought out and plays, he is overpaid but a good top 6 and his deal would be up when Smith and Celebrini (please hockey gods don’t screw us) are coming off their ELC’s

Wouldn't do 2 or 3. I like Jenner but not for that.

Listen, I'm theoretically not against the idea of moving Jenner if the Blue Jackets get a really good return for him but his value to Columbus is high for the same reason his value would be high for Buffalo. Buffalo and Columbus are in the same position, they've acquired loads of talent. Now they need to construct a roster.

If Buffalo gave Columbus that, Columbus would probably look to use it to get a Jenner plus more. Who would that be? If that Buffalo offer could help Columbus land a player like Brady Tkachuk or Robert Thomas, I'd be all for it. But I think Buffalo would be better off just getting a Tkachuk or Thomas player themselves in that situation.

I think if that's the cost for Jenner, I'd rather adams try to draft his own- who in this draft is closest to Jenners skill set?- Cayden linstrom?

The Iafallo trade makes sense

And i like the Sturm idea, but paying all that to get rid of Skinner is pretty dumb- especially when we have plenty of Cap space

CBj fans keep saying they aren’t trading Jenner,
and that’s an overpay anyways for him

For skinner why not package for disgruntled, shine him up with this years first, and go get zegras, or somebody with a buylow and some years to make good, abundance of youth and recent elcs time for a home run gamble.

That's more than enough for Jenner the player, and I personally would be for moving him (a total leadership change could do the room some good).

I think the reason he's considered untouchable is because he's essentially the most important player in the organization's history, and the captain. The organization is set on keeping him, logic be damned. That's the crux of the "he's not available" discussion, he's so internally valuable it would take a GM-gets-fired move for him to actually get moved.

Jenner the player? He's a good goal-scoring 2C on a great deal. If he weren't "Jenner", he'd cost a 1st and a good forward prospect, maybe a mid-rounder depending on the prospect coming back. If the new GM decided to move him, the 1st plus Ostlund I'd think would be enough.

A top 10 pick & great prospect for Boone Jenner. Adams should be fired on the spot for that.

Sharks would be literally **** to make this move. Completely stupid beyond reason. Luckily Grier is ten times smarter than this hypocrite comment.

Since when does a 3rd line center get you all that...and don't say because of unloading the Skinner contract bc Skinner (NMC) just says frank no and that's the bottom line

What the hell is your problem? Skinner is still a 25 goal 40 to 50 point player something we don’t really have he’d be a good mentor for some of the younger guys and his deal is up exactly when we would have to start paying our top guys his contract would be pretty much Like a placeholder for a Will Smith and a Celebrini. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the idea of getting a guy like Skinner, and a second rather than paying a free agent for seven years! Then again, people who actually have some logic and understanding of how the cap works and how teambuilding goes would know that so I’m not gonna hold it against you

No. You already know the answer.

A replacement Jenner. Not another physical #2C claimed to have leadership capabilities - another career-long member of this team, committed to this market, signed voluntarily at a hometown discount to a sweetheart deal, at a position we desperately need more of, working as a mentor of the type we desperately need more of, playing in every situation competently without an ounce of complaint, and so consistent at all of the above that our infamously hands-off ownership would (and per rumors may actually have) veto a trade. He's Simply Not Available.

Maybe you can overcome the ownership veto if you offer a franchise player, but then that'd likely get vetoed by your guys. It's just not worth asking.
