There's no way the Kings are retaining $26M+ on Dubois, regardless of what's coming back.

While I think any trading for PLD loses since they have to have PLD, Kings block Montreal number
LA is better off just riding out the contract than retaining at 50% for 7 years
And that return is essentially two mid/late 2nds, and. Evans for PLD + if LA is trading PLD it is to get out of that contract. This trades worsens LA cap too

At this point Turcotte is just a guy and nothing Chicago can't find in free agency. He's still got a couple years before he can be dubbed a bust, but he's headed that way.

He isn't a Habs fan but I agree Kings best hope is for a bounce back or someone offers value similar to what they gave up.
