No.

I am sure Boston will push hard for Drai. Mac is untouchable.

Both teams pass....but an interesting thought. Not at thing a team (Bruins) should do, trading a guy just before his NMC kicks in.

Oh man I mean.

I think a long conversation about it happens at a minimum. Mcavoy would literally solve all of our problems.

i don't think it's a long conversation at all. On July 1st the Oilers present Draisaitl their best offer. If he doesn't accept it, they have to think about trading him. There's no shot under the sun anyone would beat this offer.

The problem is, from the bruins perspective, they aren't trading their best player, a 26 year old rock that's signed long-term, at what should now be considered a very team friendly number, for a guy who will be 29 for the one year of control they have, and likely out of his prime for seven more years where they are paying him as likely the highest paid player in the NHL.

There is no shot Boston even considers this, but of course in a world when Edmonton is considering moving Draisaitl, they would jump at this.

I dont think he would at least not with out create huge other holes.
The oilers this year have actually been pretty good defensively all the underlying number support that the only real blip to that was the first 12 games of the season when literally everything was a train wreck

So do the oilers get a great defenseman in the trade absolutely.

but they lose IMO a top 5 player in the league multi time 50 goal scorer art, hart, lidnsey winner. 100+ point a season player. create a hole at 2C disrupting a pp that has been top in the league over the last 4 years. he takes every important draw. oh he is also mcdavids best friend whos contract is up soon the year after.

The only way they trade him is if he is unwilling to sign her which buy all recent interviews he would love to. And I feel they would be getting more of a return.

Who was the last player traded that was remotely in the same caliber of Drai?

I thought it had the same vibe as Subban for Weber.
I know it's different, but it seemed like an interesting idea at least.

I think you probably have to go back to Gretzky, Messier, and maybe Pronger
