Description
Hawks can overpay Tanev, he would be great for the young dmen, and has a bedard connection. Dvorak is a guy Richardson will love, great locker room guy and very competitive. Domi same, if not Domi maybe Debrusk. Draft Demidov, Lindstrom or Levshunov. With the tampa's 1st maybe Jiricek, Hage or Elick.

Meh, if someone told me the Habs had to move Dvo for a 3rd if they wanted to bring another vet via free agency like Toffoli or Monahan, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Just depends on the situation. What if Habs draft a Center (Celebrini, Lindstrom, Catton) and they prove to be ready at training camp and Hughes needs to make room for them? Zero issues dumping Dvo for a 3rd.

This all seems reasonable. I can see domi staying in Toronto for that price though.

Yeah that is my thought if Montreal wants to pursue some other player or free agent that they would want to move Dvorak. They would have to give a draft pick or prospect in my opinion. Yeah domi can be switch with like a debrusk. I just know he fit in well when he played here.

Cue the hawks fans who have said many many times on here, that to take local boy Dvo’s “camp dump” would require us sending a 2nd their way.

Finally some intelligence in Chicago! Let’s add a little Josh Anderson while we’re at it. He’s fine & serviceable and Chicago has the room.

Don't see the Hawks bringing in both Domi and Dvorak. It would be one or the other. Dickinson will either play 2C or 3C. Domi or Dvorak plays the other. Hawks will want a 2nd to take Dvorak. $4.5m cap hit, but $5.7m actual salary makes it a 2nd to take him easy. Don't see Tanev getting 3 years either, especially at a $6m cap hit. If that's what he costs, pass all day long. Why trade for Jet Woo if you don't intend to play him in the NHL? 24 years old, 4 years AHL experience. If he's not NHL ready, then why trade for him?

I doubt montreal pays to move dvorak simply because they arent in cap hell next year so they can easily hold onto him, especially since anyone they draft (unless celebrini) wont play next year and Beck/Kapanen are likely to play in AHL anyways so they can run
Suzuki
Dach
Dvorak
Evans
And play Newhook on the wing

Then if Dvorak plays well you retain 50% at the TDL and get a 3rd/4th

I totally agree with you. No clue why Montreal would pay to move Dvorak if they don't need the cap space. But Hawks probably wouldn't take him for anything less than a 2nd.
