If rangers are gonna dump goodrow (which doesnt make a ton of sense with how low the buyout cost is) they will definitely not attach a player to do so

Interresting trade for the 14th overall selection.

If Montreal have interrest for a player in this range OR want to trade the pick for a active young player, that's an interresting senario.

Still smarting over the Offer Sheet, eh?

What in the world makes you think that Carolina would do that? You could change the draft pick to Carolina's 2026 seventh and the Hurricanes would still laugh at you.

Ranger fans on this site are going to kill you for that Kakko trade, most are still convinced he has the same value as he did in 2019
Don't like the Habs trade for San Jose, moving down 10 spots should cost more than a late 3rd next year and Barron who at this point is a project and one of the most traded people on this site

Depends on who Mtl is targeting, but I would do that.
Kotkaniemi has little value sure, but not negative. Carolina could probably get a 2nd round pick for him. Maybe Pittsburgh

Hes been a healthy scratch for a couple games now. Hes either being bought out or traded in the offseason

San Jose is not doing that first trade. I don't see them trading back again.

If Eiserman, MBN, Connelly or Dickinson falls to 14, I’d do it

Uhh, not sure what Kotkaniemi you’re watching but he’s not very good and hasn’t been very good. He’s overpaid and it’s a long term contract, not saying it’ll be a 1st to move hike cause of the cheap buyout but if Carolina could only attach a 7th round pick to move that contract I’d bet they’d do it in a heartbeat.

Not 100% certain. Guys bounce back all the time. With Carolina’s weak centre depth they may opt to keep him and work with him to get him to a level that’s useable

well yeah, lol he wants Kakko for free. Goodrow will be bought out in offseason, no need to give away useful players to help offload Goodrow.
