It's interesting, I'm having the same discussion in another thread with @Black61, He's on the opposite end of the spectrum saying Evans and a 2nd is too much, you're on the other end saying paying a 1st is justifiable, and I'm in the middle essentially lol.

Trying to merge both discussions, I'll say that a 1st rd pick would serve better trying to get a better asset. but a Evans + 2nd (and you could add other depth pieces) seems justifiable to me.

Evans and a 2nd would be a Great price to pay TBH - I'm just expecting Vegas to ask for the first.

i wouldnt give a 1st for Roy at this point, knowing that we have a potential 3rd line center due up shortly in Beck. Only reason i'd be moving 1st rounds at this point is if the package is for something we dont have coming up in our system, i.e. another legit top 6 scorer.
