Way too Much for Podkholzin. Could get him for that third alone I'm sure.

Columbus isn't taking back Josh Anderson, And way too much for Laine the dude can't even stay healthy for more than 65% of the season.

You'd have to imagine it costs far more than than that to dump 3 years of dead cap in Anderson.

Columbus doesn't touch that with a 10-foot pole, and Anderson's NTC probably ends the discussion quickly.

Columbus isn't taking back a worse/longer-term contract than Laine, full stop. Option A) is keep him and hope for a rebound, option B) is trade him if we get some assets we like. If there's strings/an anchor attached...option A) it is.

Canucks aren't trading him for a 3rd. He's defensively responsible and cheap so it's worth it just to keep him and hope he breaks through next season. He's looked good since being called up and I could see him taking a step like Hoglander did this year.

Mailloux is 4th in ahl rookie scoring.....as a defenceman. Big right handed. Its not hard to argue him being at worst a top 20 pick in a redraft.

That + another first for a player making 8.7 million with term whos hit 60 points once in the last 7 years and is a defensive and injury libaility.

If anything until laine comes back and proves hes not the shell of a player he displayed this season hes also a massive negative.

Mailloux has promise, but Laine has been a .80ppg player with CBJ, and that’s counting shortened seasons (his first two years with CBJ), and fluky injuries (his last two years).

CBJ pass. So does Anderson.

Can’t see Mailloux going anywhere…

Apparently Laine-for-Anderson+ is the new hotness in Montreal. I suppose it's better than the endless parade of KJ AGMs, but anything involving us taking back Anderson's contract is just as doomed.
