If Kaut wants to come back to North America, I think CHI should be interested in a deal like this. I'd absolutely give him another shot for a 7th round pick.

Have you considered, Keller is one of my favorite players in the NHL. I dont think any of those picks would be as good or rad as him. Im all for a move like this if he requests a trade and by some miracle is okey with coming to San Jose.

Considering where those picks are, I'd have to agree with you. But if that was SJS's pick or picks, I would advise that you refrain from moving them. haha.

And perhaps having a seasoned vet countryman on the team (Mrazek) would be helpful? As you say, Garak, likely worth a flyer for a 7th round pick.

I do wonder why he didn't re-sign with SJS, though. Did SJS not like him? Did he not like SJS? Did he just want to go home and put in some more work there? Are there character issues? Etc. Because he played pretty well after being traded there and then he just went home.

Yeah exactly! IMO we cant move any of our own first rounders but the other ones there is an argument to be made to try and get a known quantity for them

Yep. All questions that'd need answering...

Kaut trashed San Jose's AHL team in the Czech media. He claimed the coaches were trying to force him to fight. The coach denies it. Sounds like Kaut was frustrated that he couldn't stick in the NHL even with the Sharks. I don't think he'd come back to SJ or that they would want him after that. I'd be concerned about his character if I was another team.

Keller is interesting. I wouldn't pay that much though.

Possibly. Maybe it was a language barrier/misunderstanding. How is his english? Maybe they wanted him to be more physically engaged and/or competitive and he took it the wrong way.

Kunin's RFA rights have zero value. Edmonton declines - they could get a better player on the UFA market for less than Kunin's QO.

Someone who's scoring in the KHL; presumably being offered on the basis of us having success bringing over Voronkov and Marchenko. Personally I'd rather we just use the pick on a longshot of our own rather than someone else's overager.
