Frankly, they are better teams. BOS is a better team than PIT, and it showed. They are also a better team than WSH. BOS still has something to play for as in home ice. It won't be wrapped up till after their game with WSH depending on what NYR do. So BOS will play hard more likely.
It's not out the picture to think DET is in the leading spot on Monday.

Detroit just has to win out and hope Boston beats Washington in regulation.
