Any team trading for PLD loses since they have to have PLD on their team
Byfield probably gets more

Sabres would be a crazy hard no. Olofsson provides what kaliyev does, he alternated between being a healthy scratch and playing with hooves for hands linemates. The Sabres top 6 is likely set, they need size, physical play, and solid two way players for their bottom 6. The fit couldn't be any worse.

Can't imagine the Blues have any interest in Pinelli.

I don’t think so
Imo, our defense probably looks like this next year

Byram-Dahlin
Power-Jokiharju
Samuelsson-Clifton
R.Johnson

I know that makes it look like Johnson is left out in the cold,
but pretty much everyone on our defense gets banged up & i could see him rotating on for injuries or if anyone is struggling

He was paired with Dahlin for a bit earlier in the season & didn’t look outta place
My guess is we hang on to him unless he’s part of a package for a top pair RD

and with his performance, effort, and that contract, the kings will have to pay to give him that. this trade is a joke.

My bet is Boston is going to sign Elias Lindholm or a top winger like Jake Guentzel. They could probably get a good return on one of their goalies or just even bring it back. We’ll see what the playoffs tell us there.

I don’t see why they given up on that for PLD without getting either a first round pick this year or a prospect / pick equivalent. That said, there was rumored interest in the offseason with PLD before the Kings deal so there could be a fit from a talent consideration (lots of ifs there since that was before that contract)

It will also require LA making a long term offer for Ullmark to make him consider waiving his no trade and I’m not sure wil be enough to make him change his mind.

Kings aren’t trading Dubois.

For good reason too.

don't you have zacha as 1C? Marchand and Pasta would be perfect for him

Lets start with the smallest issues grin For Lizotte a $1,675,000 qualifying offer is required to retain the RFA rights.
PLD/Ullmark trade is nonsene, because Ullmark does not want LA and LA should not want that deal either now, after Ullmark reportedly declined a trade to LA/West Coast.
Actually, I am pretty sure that the Kings can get a late 2nd round or early third round pick for Kaliyev. I definitely don't see them wasting a 4th rounder. That would be a huge steal for Bufallo.
You gotta love Martinez as A Kings fan, but he turns 37 before that season. I think it's too risky and I like the Englund contract much better and to save $3,000,000 on top of that.
I think Spence can sign for +/- $2,000,000 for a bridge deal. If you can sign Arvy for $3,000,000 and he stays healthy, that is going to be a steal

This is the NHL. There is a salary cap. Contracts matter.

$3.5M....and four years.

also, as of right now pavel zacha is playing better than PLD. there is no argument to the contrary.
