You could remove Parayko and Binnington from that trade and the Blues still pass. I didn't even read the rest.

Oilers decline, Parayko has to long of term and $ to be worth considering even if he is retained, we have no need for Binnington as we have Skinner.

plus your "High cost is also due to offloading Campbell and Ceci." statement make 0 sense as Ceci isn't a cap dump and Binnington makes more then Campbell for on a longer term

The Oilers trade is a little to big and doesn't answer our needs entirely and I doubt is what STL would want either (unless they're rebuilding? I don't think they are but idk), I would love Parayko but Binn isn't what we need cause we have Skinner.
I would do this if you remove Mcleod and a pick as well as Binn from the trade, but ultimately you need to outvalue us just buying out Campbell which is free and has nearly 0 impact on us.

Not to say in a vacuum this trade isnt ok value, but once you start applying both STL and EDM's situation to it this just doesn't make sense.

Matt Roy is getting a hell of a lot more than 4 x $4,000,000 Hometown Detroit offers him more.

Jordan Binningtom and Colton Parayko are worth more than scraps and late picks. And there's no way Edmonton can take on their combined $12,500,000 caphits.

After the way Sweeney lowballed Krug, There's no way I see Krug back in Boston. He might accept a trade to Pittsburgh to be closer to Detroit.

And Rob Blake isn't letting Roy walk and trading a cheaper Jordan Spence he'll sign one or the other.

That joke of an offer isn't getting Jakob Chychrun out of Ottawa. You need to offer far better than that.

Gotta disagree with "writing on the wall" for Kyrou. Even if you believe that he is a coach killer, that coach was killed and he ended up putting together a pretty good season. I don't think his name would come up in a trade unless it's for a guy like Keller or B Tkachuk. I'm really not a fan of this trade valuation either.

A few years ago I would have been glad to take Saad. Not so much today. Pens pass. They don't need another LW and he's not worth the picks.
