Not at the expense of Zegras, he's too old to match the core, if we're trading out Z, then the player coming back has to be young as well. Not to mention he's owed a big raise.

And you put him as 1C, not me.

no real interest for Ottawa. Pinto's expressed lots of interest in being here long-term and he's a known commodity here. Frost is obviously a good young player with plenty of value, but I don't really see Ottawa having any reason to swap Pinto for him. and then the rest like, idk, it's just whatever. a very late 1st a year from now is far from exciting and Laughton is like, good, I guess. maybe they'd consider the Chychrun for a 1st and Laughton part of the deal

Then Z isn't available, problem solved, were more than fine keeping him in our top 6.

I still think Ottawa would rather just keep Pinto and then obviously you'd have to remove Frost from the deal, but a 1st + 2nd + Laughton would definitely do it for Chychrun, imo. Sens could probably even then throw in a 4th or something as well

Id throw in a 4th if it gets that done, didnt know Pinto wanted to stay tbh. Just remember rumors about him being traded

I genuinely think that if you took Pinto out of the deal and left it as is on the Flyers end that the general consensus would still be that Ottawa would be better off looking elsewhere instead.

Laughton isn’t a great fit for Ottawa, don’t think that would be someone they would target at all. I personally like Frost but doubt the team would be insistent on him being the centrepiece of a deal like this for Chychrun let alone Pinto.

I do agree with the other comment above that Pinto is untouchable, It’s not a value thing, more of a situation thing in Ottawa with the way all the contracts line up.

A deal centred around Bonk or Konecny for Chychrun would be very appealing for the Sens.

His exit interviews yesterday mentioned that his agent and the team are in talks right now for a long term deal of 5 or 6 years.

The trade rumours from last summer were purely from a lack of cap room. If he didn’t have the gambling suspension, which drove his asking price down considerably, the team had no room to sign him and would’ve been forced to either move him, another piece or watch him sit the season. The only space they had was for the league minimum deal he ended up signing, truly embarrassing.

yeah, there was a bunch going around earlier, but it was mostly just people making stuff up lmao. he's said in a couple interviews + his end of season exit interview that he really wants to sign a long-term contract, and apparently they're currently working something out in the 5-6 year range

I think we're gonna need to temper our expectations for a Chychrun trade now tbh. it's not gonna be full debrincat because he's got a year left still, but we're not gonna get a full return on investment. I'd be a bit surprised if the Sens were able to return much more than a mid 1st + one other solid piece.

Bonk likely wouldnt move and TK for Chychrun 1-1 is pretty much fair

I hope the flyers jump on it and overpay slighlty to get him. Would be an amazing partner for Drysdale

You need a Hampus Lindholm type for Drysdale, Chychrun is much closer to Fowler in comparison, and Fowler Drysdale were terrible together

I think something like Laughton plus a pick in the early 20s is probably realistic. Philly doesn’t have a pick there. The Florida 1st is likely 30-32
