Description
And for thoses who ask why I makes somes Anderson and Dvorack trades ?

Montreal will gonna need somes flexibility for resign somes RFA's like Slafkovsky (7,5-7,8M), Guhle (5-5,5M) and maybe Primeau for the 24-25 offseason.

Montreal will gonna need to open somes space in their 50 players roster for making somes places for younger players for the Laval Rockets.

Interesting idea and i think the value is fine, just unsure if SJS is willing to do this. Its not like they could retain on Anderson and flip so they may be detered. Not all that bad value though IMO, Barron is a stud

I mean, SJ will gonna need somes young Dmans in their core and they will likely gonna want to add another draft pick in the 2024 Draft.

i get the ideas of some trades, but dvorak will be UFA next year, would be dumb to pay to trade him when we have cap space.

Open somes spaces for the 50 players rosters and sign somes young players like Engstrom or somes veterans for Laval.

Also, we have like too much centermans, and I'm rather having Monahan back than keeping Dvo.

Peeke has been playing extremely well in Boston and making the concerns about giving up a future third a thing of the past. I’d rather have him than Jordan Harris in terms of fit.

Dvorak’s contract ends up at the end of the season. If you want to open up spots for youngstrers, send him down and keep the picks

There isn't a contract on the roster that is hurting the organization or keeping them from resigning players or blocking the signing of other players. There are overpaid contracts but they are an annoyance not a hindrance.

BTW, there are ways around the 50 contract limit, just sign the prospects you want to their ELC then sign the vets you want in Laval to an AHL contract, it prevents the vets from being called up but also doesn't count towards the 50 contract limit.

I think its kind of funny trading guys like Kovacevic and Dvorak as if they are cap dumps but both contracts end after next season and Kovacevic's contract is less than the Peeke buyout cost, which would also have an additional year added on to it.

Monahan does not make sense, he would just be blocking younger guys from developing at the NHL level and the Armia-Newhook-Gallagher line was great near the end of the season, I would like to see them start next season together.

Why are you breaking up Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky? Do you not realize they were the highest scoring line in the league from the TDL to the end of the season, it seems like a really big mistake to not go into next season with that line intact.

Kovacevic isn't really a cap dump, but I can see Boston wanted a pick because of their mistake for giving a 3rd for Peeke. Montreal will also likely want to have somes flexibility about the number of players before issues (ex : injuries). And that's also a horrible idea to send down Dvorack (and you can't execpt that's become of what happened with Armia last season).

If you think Monahan blocks our young players, just don't forget that Beck was our only C prospect in our core, and he will likely gonna take the place of Evans when his contract will gonna expire. Also, it's a bad idea to have a full C line with 4 young players, you need somes veterans like Monahan to put out somes pressures on them. And the Newhook-Monahan-Roy is also a great fit.

The Caufield line switch is just an idea, but I can expect that the 1st line will not gonna change.

Dvorak only has next season left … not an issue or any need to deal him and waste picks

I never said Kovacevic was a cap dump, I said moving his lower cap hit for a player you are buying out at a higher hit isn't a great idea. Also if the plan is to buyout Peeke, then Boston is the one that needs to add the pick since we are basically giving Kovacevic away for free.

I think you are confused, I never said anything about sending Dvorak down to Laval, I said let his contract run out or trade him with retention, he isn't a cap dump at full cap anyway.

You do realize that we have other young centers other than Beck right? Suzuki, Dach, Newhook, Evans and Celebrini (since you have the Habs winning the lottery) we don't need to sign Monahan at 5 mil to play 3C when we already have 5 others on the roster and Beck waiting in the wings. It makes much more sense to keep Armia-NewhookGallagher together as the 3rd line and run a top 6 of Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky, Roy-Celebrini-Dach and have Evans run some sort of Energy line
