We've been patient with Alex Turcotte this far . . . no reason to give up on him now in exchange for a 26-year-old fourth liner on a near-League-minimum contract and two dart throws.

Dubas should take that before Conroy finishes his sentence. That's a terrible deal for Calgary.

I agree but would it be crazy to say I'd prefer it without Vladar involved?

penguins don't really need to give up a 2nd for a 30-40 point player.

I'm taking that if I'm Dubas. Great bottom 6 addition - or a cheaper Smith replacement if Dubas is able to dump him.

I'd rather without Vladar too, but I don't know if Calgary would do it just straight, the cap out of Vladar might help their situation... idk
He's also done next season so that give's room for Rodrigue to move up in 2026 and saves us looking for a goalie this offseason.

Cost equals out the same as signing a guy for 1M and buying out Campbell, honestly I think I'd do this.

Kuzmenko is incredibly slow, even slower than Toffoli.

Which makes him a terrible fit alongside Jack Hughes.

And since he is incapable of playing defensive hockey, you can't play him alongside hischier, or in a bottom 6 defensive role

He scores too many goals and makes too many nice plays for your style of play.

He's a lot faster than Toffoli, a lot younger, shoots as well or better and can do a lot more than just shoot. You gave us Sharangovich and a 3rd for Toffoli it'll take more than that to get Kuzmenko. Conroy will be happy to fleece your GM again.

A Calgary fan posted this, there must be some of your fan base who would look at this as a potential trade.

Absolutely - remove Vladar and fax it through.

Cgy can bury Vladar with just a $1M cap penalty, and they have $11M in cap space. No need to take him back.

Edmonton should re-sign Pickard, he's better and will he cheaper than Vladar. He and Rodrigue can cover the backup spot.
