But
Does Necas to MTL not make sense? MTL can’t score and has a ton of good D prospects, and few forwards. Do they send some D prospects and like Winnipeg 1st for Necas?

Makes a lot of sense (MTL has only Slaf in the whole organization as a tall top 6 winger), but it will cost more for a RFA 30 goals scorer.

A top 10 protected 2025 MTL 1st would be a good start.

Multiple teams would outbid a late 1st + prospects like Barron, Hutson and Harris but if Reinbacher is on the table then ok.

Considering the Canes don’t need D prospects if they move Necas, the Habs don’t have much to offer that would be enticing to a contender, outside of their big 3 forwards. And we already know they aren’t moving them.

I don't think this makes sense for either team, Habs don't need another Domi type of player (an all offense player that averages 50 ish points per season but can occasionally put up 70) they need consistent 70+ point players, sure Necas size is appealing but that's about it. I would rather go after Zegras or Reinhart
