Just a suggestion but you could send Hamonic down and his entire cap hit goes with him. His buyout is only $367k for two years if you wanted to go that route as well. For a two round move up I'd do this if I were Chicago. They can use him as a 7th defenseman or one of the two options I mentioned above. My advice would be to save the draft capital and eat the contract.

My perspective is Boston will attempt to trade him to a team they can trade him to outright, but will approach him if a team is willing to pay and are open to an extension.

One thing is missing here. A 2nd round pick in a weaker draft in that area is pretty much a non starter
