I would be suprised if the Kings cut bait this fast on PLD especially if they need to retain for 7 years. Also do not think Ullmark will get a first plus. Goalies rarely go for that much, the only goalie I can even think of who returned a 1st would be Ryan Miller going to the blues, and worked out pretty bad for them lol.

I feel swayman could be negotiable down to high 6’s- 7 mill.

Doubt LA entertains that, if we wanted those picks there would have to be 0 retention. I also don’t know if I want Dubois, he has the skill the size the speed to be an absolute star in this league but he seriously lacks any drive or motivation to work hard. He’s lazy but maybe with a better coach who holds his players more accountable he could become something again.

Goalies don't have that kind of value, especially with only one year of term and it's unlikely LA throws in the towel on PLD after one down year and retains to boot.

"PLD has negative value" and that's why I'm acquiring him to play #1C on a Stanley Cup contender.

Makes sense.

I'm really curious to know what the full deal was between LA and Boston, this wasn't it though. I only see them retaining in a 1 for 1 situation.

Kuemper: timmins, 22 1st, 24 3rd
Schneider: 2013 1st (9OA)
Lehner: 2015 1st (21OA)
Varlamov: 2012 1st(11OA) 2012 2nd
Anderson: 2016 1st (30OA) 2017 2nd
Martin jones: 2016 1st (29OA) Sean kuraly.

Clearly you haven’t done enough research, all these goalies above were moved for 1st plus and I’d say only 1-2 of them produced as well as Ullmark has over the last 3 years.

Ullmark averages a .923 SV% / 2.30 GAA / 88 wins in a 130
Games. I don’t see how he doesn’t return a 1st

Fair enough happens more than I realized. Still do not think he gets anywhere close to the return in this deal though....

Oh I definitely agree with that.

But considering there is a few teams that really need a true starter bruins will easily bag a 1st or a good young prospect.

NJ / Buffalo/ LA/ Detroit / Philly are some the teams I could think of who need a starter

You could even say Colorado could be in need of a starter considering the way georgiev has played this season

I don't see PLD being Negative value after just one season. Granted he didn't perform great in the regular season. I still can't see them paying that boat for Ullmark. Do I think Ullmark should and will get a first, Yes absolutely. Would he get PLD in a one for one with no retained money, maybe (depends on if LA thinks that gets them over the hump). Do I think The Bruins will get a 1st and a roster player, again maybe depends on the market. Will the bruins get a former top three selection and 1st rounder, no. Will the bruins get multiple firsts, no. Will the bruins get 2 firsts, a second, a fourth and a previous top 3 selection absolutely not

For how much Montreal and the Bruins trash PLD, they sure do like to propose trades to get him.

When I first heard it, I was thinking

Jake DeBrusk, Linus Ullmark
For
PLD, David Rittich, 2024 first round pick

My assumption is if it happened now it would something like PLD, a 2nd, and a prospect for Ullmark
