Additional Details:
Just curious what fans of these respective teams gauge the value of these players? I think the Sens are desperate for size, mid/bottom 6 talent, and help on the defensive end. Goaltending is tricky because not many are available this year so I wouldn't know where to look, but I have heard Gus could be available.

I dunno with berggren. If anything probably a change of scenery type trade.

We know he has the talent, he scored 15 goals in a limited role in the 2022-2023 season. But his play style doesn’t seem to fit the “essence” of the team.

If he goes anywhere I suspect it will be for a similar level prospect or as part of a package deal to upgrade the roster. I doubt he’s moved for a pick.

Berggren's value is lower than it should be because they, for some reason, prioritized his waiver exemption.

His value is better in a package than by himself.

It's been reported the Sens have had interest in him prior, and I actually really really like him as a player. I think he's a very good 3 line winger with the potential to be a 2nd line player.

You are likely right. Maybe a package including Olli + Berggren could be arranged if we think Kleven needs 1 more season in Belleville? Would free up Detroit like 4M$ between Olli + Berggren offersheet.

To be honest I don’t think they would have any problem finding a home for Maatta. He was an extremely effective third line defenseman for us this year. It’s Holl and Fabbri who will probably be more difficult to part with and cost something.

Though I definitely have thought of using Berggren as the sweetener in a Holl dump…

Don't think Yzerman's selling much of anything to open cap and even if he is, Maatta isn't the guy.

The cost on Bahl very much depends on the Devils getting a shutdown D first. If it is someone younger with term, it would be easier to move Bahl as not seeing him as a 7th D as he wouldn't pass Siegs or Luke. He's a top 6 D with size that can play right away and is young enough to be part of a secondary core for a team, so maybe a late 2nd?

You can have Maatta for a 4th or a 5th. I know @csick would like to see him in Ottawa.

Gustavsson's value is something of a 2nd round pick, but the Wild would probably want to trade him to either get immediate help in their lineup or to move up in the draft.

if ott think Kleven needs another year, they will re-sign Branny rather than waste assets on getting another D, Branny is a good 3rd pair dman

Bahl is probably worth a late 2nd/early 3rd

I dont think the devils are looking to move bahl individually. I think they would def include him in a package in order to make an upgrade via a sens roster player though. My target would be pinto, and then devils adding substantially in addition to Bahl. Like a 2025 1st rounder and a young forward either on the roster or one of their better forward prospects.

Early 3rd I’d take for Bahl if it helps us get another dman, or can be used to improve the bottom 6.

But I’m happy to keep bahl as a 7D

Very fair. I would definitely pay that price, Bahl has some size we're lacking so badly.
