This one Laine trade makes things extremely interesting for next year. Allows the lineup to really fall into place.

I still believe Newhook is playing one line too high - and that we need to swap a rookie D for a quality vet.

Harris maybe gets a later 2nd rounder or an early 3rd rounder from a team that needs a bit more LD depth.

That Columbus trade is basically trading damaged goods for damaged goods. That particular first round pick isn't enough of a sweetner for the Jackets to jump.

Minnesota has another year of Rossi at ELC, then the bulk of Suter and Parise are off the books. If you want him it'll take far more than Mesar, Barron, and some coin tosses.
