Description
I know Marner is a long shot and again this would be an aggresive summer, something Lou has not done with the Isles yet but I feel like this can be a reachable roster if the salary dumps of Pageau and Lee work themselves out. Again it's a long shot but this creates future cap space for extensions and makes this roster a whole lot better, with some young pieces mixed in.

Moving Pulock to TOR makes way more sense than moving Pelech does.

TOR needs RHD and Dobson can easily take over Pulock’s role. Romanov can’t replace Pelech.

Sens don't have the cap or the desire for 5m Pageau. Cheaper better options as UFA.
Five years of 5.8m 30 year old Pelech, doesn't age well/. Cheaper better options as UFA.

Hawks decline. Wahlstrom and a 4th isn't enough to take on Lee's contract.

Islanders can have the 2026 5th and nothing else for Pageau if he comes with 50% retention.

Marner doesn’t waive.
If he somehow miraculously did, why would he extend and not test FA?
Leafs don’t need LHD, so no interest in Pelech. Not enough for Marner anyway.

Can't see anyone paying anything for JGP at his full cap hit. Future considerations is probably the best the Isles could hope for without some retention. Lee at his full cap hit probably takes at least a 2nd and 3rd to move. Still a useful player, but not a $7m player. Wahlstrom at this point is a slightly above replacement level 3rd liner. Not worth a whole lot.

You need to add a 1st round pick if you want the Hawks to take Lee.

Also you can keep Wahlstrom, Chicago is loaded with AHL talent which is why they ended up 31st in a 32 team league.
