Florida doesn't consider that
Flames decline the Leafs deal, Cowen isn't worth that much
Edmonton will probably just buy Campbell out
Mangiapane at 50% is worth way more than a 3rd

Lol Cowan is worth a lot more than an aging 6 million dollar goalie who hasn't been great for 2 straight seasons. Considering your response on the rest, it's clear you have a major bias against the Leafs.

The only theory under which Florida would trade young center former first-round draft pick Anton Lundell is if their cap situation forces them to. So they wouldn't be taking back a 31-year-old winger with seven seasons left on a $10.5 million contract.

Imagine being willing to waste more of Matthews prime because you didn't want to give up a prospect with middle 6 projection to get Markstrom a 3 million for 3 years......

Actually Calgary declines. Knight got paid an awful lot for an AHL goalie this year and he has 2 years left on his contract. A cap dump at another position maybe but not a goalie. Better to just keep Huberdeau.

Agree with you on the rest with the caveat that Calgary won't want Campbell either even if edmonton did offer that deal.

Markstrom hasn't been good for 2 full years and that's just straight up ridiculous to still doubt Cowan. Guy was the best player in major junior this year.

Knight went into the player assistance program after that deal was signed and was in rehab. He's played very well in the AHL and will be an NHL goalie next season. Florida just had no reason to bring him up.

Just weird to jump into a thread not involving the ducks to randomly dump on another team. We should be charging rent but always room on the bandwagon . We didn’t get to be the centre of the hockey universe by accident #LeafsForever

We can’t… this trade makes no sense.
