Had the chance twice, We wont play that game anymore
Perron is a good player but he gave an interview after signing with PIT about his desire to avoid the MTL Media.
The Pressures that come along with it "not being for everybody" and i remember hearing that and going "dodged a bullet"

MTL is great but the Media here SUCKS !!!!!!
Im a New York Yankee's fan which is the MTL of Baseball basically in terms of Historical Relevance and Impact.
The Media is no where near as Brutal in New York by comparison.

Like Phil Danault touched out his first LAK Interview "Nice to do one of these in English for a change"
Before Elaborating that being 1 of 2-3 French guys the media in MTL interviews in Bulk can get Demoralizing Quick
Even Caufield a Rookie had to defend Danault in the Media after MTL lost in the SCF.
The year end interviews a Reporter was basically trying to lay the loss at Danaults Feet
Caufield piped up and put that reporter in his place and got the Fist Bump from Phil for doing it lol

Some French Players love it
Like Lafreniere would thrive and According to his Roommate Josh Roy he keeps an eye on MTL still.
He'd be someone i'd be willing to give up a top 5 pick +++ to land this year and Sign Monahan
We'd be in Prime Position

But given AL isnt an option most likely
I really do like Kaliyev A LOT as he fits
I'd likely target him and still sign Monahan

How much would you give up for Kaliyev?

How much would you sign Monahan for?

No way the Hawks do that. Both of those players will be free on waivers in October

Monahan 3 years x 5m

Kaliyev i wouldnt give up a 1st for but a Prospect, a 2nd and a later pick? sure
Given LAK Cap i dont think theyll be ridiculous given he didnt play a single Playoff game and doesnt seem to fit with Coach or teams direction it seems.
Strube , 2nd round pick and a 5th for Kaliyev to me would be something i can live with but in reality he'll go for likely less the same way Durzi did

I'd move Harris and Dvorak's final year for someone a team is looking to get rid of like Kotkanemi
If they ask for more for KK offer them Savard instead and Ylonen but nothing more as soon they'll have to pay to dump him as he's back in the same position he left MTL over.
But KK is a Capdump that i think could rebound under MSL to at least earn his contract and MTL has the space plus we're the 5th most injured team since 2015 so adding him helps

KK IF MSL can rebound him make Kent Hughes look like the most Saavy GM MTL had since Pollock built Dynasty's.

Kaliyev , Monahan and KK could be great for a 3 year window
The last 3 years of KK's Contract could work out great or need to be moved later
But given how much the youth here responded to Monahan to the point Slafkovsky until the last game did their pre game handshake by himself make believing Monahan was there with him.
Suzuki in his transition to Captaincy was really aided by Monahan and Suzuki took big steps forward from a defensive standpoint since Monahan joined. Jake Evans became a reliable defensive Center, ext

Don't you think Monahan will have 4 to 5 years deals on the table. In my mind, I was thinking to lower the AAV one might have to offer him 4.5m over 5 years but idk

Thats why i blocked him
He says things out of ignorance a lot on a site that contains all this information a few clicks away

Plus when im bias i just say i dont like the player
He's make false statements, then when you provide Sources and Proof that its a wrong statement
He'll challenge the stats he brought up and say they dont mean anything anyways . . . .
Most fans on here admit they're overstepping when they realize it
But some simply need added to the Ignore List as they never learn

MTL would offer him at least 4m to bring him back
He's gotten us two 1st rounds and helped most of our top 6 players become True Top 6 options while helping unlock Slafkovsky our former 1st OA pick

Well then a permanent healthy scratch isn't worth anything

Oh is he going to play? Over who? Montreal's D-core is not that strong and he's their 10th best defenseman.

I doubt that, Mailloux or Reinbacher will make the team over him. So Harris and/or Kovacevich are placed in waivers instead?
