Trade Sergy as well — sign Pesce or another RD for cheaper

Id like to see cirelli in a spot where he doesn't get all the defensive assignments and see if his offense shows up a bit more. He passes the eyes test bit his counting numbers are underwhelming.

If I'm Seattle I consider a 1 for 1 Bjorkstrand and Cirelli deal I wouldn't give up the higher pick.

Cernak has a full no trade until like 2027 or something so unless he loves Ottawa he's staying

TBL didn’t add a veteran McDonagh just to trade away the likes of both Cirelli and Cernak. That would be counterintuitive.

I'd happily take Cernak if Tampa wanted to move him.

Does trade protection kicks in July 1. Deal is done at the draft

Hawks decline and counter with one of two options: Perbix to Chicago for the 4th. Sheary stays in Tampa. Or leave the deal the same but replace the 4th going to Tampa with future considerations.

I thought it already was in place since his contract started last year but, after checking it looks like you're right

That Cirelli trade is utterly assinine. They save 800k to severely downgrade their defense down the middle to gain minimal offensive production when TB was 5th in GF 23rx in GA . They also weaken their blueline BRILLIANT!!

Who cares his "offensive production" seems underwhelming. He has a 42% d-zone start plays against Mathews,Barkov, Crosby,Stutzle,McDavid etc every night.

Yeah he gets all the defensive work, like I just said.

I semi get what you're saying but he does that sooo well , there isn't a coach who wouldn't play him in those situations regularly.

Oh I know, he's great at it. I just more want to see what would happen if he got off the leash.

Couple reasons it won't happen.
A) See above.
B)His personality he thrives in that 💩
