I don't think we're interested in those guys at the moment

Do you have any reasoning behind it or do you just really like Chris Wideman?

Wideman is good for now, even though he's injured. Claesson is also an okay 3rd guy for the right side, even thought he's a left handed shot. I can't really see us making the playoffs this year anyway.

Okay, I respectfully disagree with you about Wideman. If a guy isn't even capable of handling 12 minutes in the NHL he's basically an AHL player thrown into the fire because of a major lack of talented depth. McQuaid's been over 16 mins the last 5 seasons and Millers never been under 17 minutes in his 5 seasons of NHL play. Both players are around 5 years younger than Oduya and also signed more than 1 season after this or more.

The questioning I have is why trade for Brodie if you aren't trying to make the playoffs in the next 3 seasons? You have Erik Karlsson as an untouchable, so you're obviously trying to make the playoffs in the next 2 years unless you're in the market for giving someone a freebie off your roster by losing him as an UFA.

@HoffmanisKing what is your take on Colin White... What's the likely cost to get him from you. I know it says untouchable but you also have Brown and Batherson to play C

            Or Logan Brown

I never said i'm not trying to make the playoffs soon.

If you want to make a playoff push, you're going to have to give up a lot of your prospects and picks. Just compare your team to all the other teams in the Atlantic.

@HoffmanisKing what is your take on Colin White... What's the likely cost to get him from you. I know it says untouchable but you also have Brown and Batherson to play C

We aren't moving him now that we traded Chabot, or at least not right now.

Usually, i ignore comments like this if they're nothing to do with the person posting it, but i just want you to understand this: a lot of our stuff that could get done soon is in the offseason, not now.

So are you going for the playoffs this year or not?

Just want to see what Hoffman thinks of White and Brown and whether or not to pursue something further... I'd likely give you a pick in this draft + prospect of roughly equal value

To help our chances next year. The prices on a lot of those 1LDs were going up as we waited. Now please stop asking questions unless they're trade offers, thanks.

Lol, for a second i thought you mean Mike Hoffman the player.
You could always make an offer but it's unlikely we trade them at this point.

But if you insist, I'll pull some teeth for you: what would it take to get Filip Chlapik without using picks?

Really, if you want Chlapik, we'll probably need at least one pick + prospects.

Yeah i acc wanted to move him because of how many center prospects sens have but RAIF thinks its better to keep him but IMO it would probably cost you an equal level wing prospect or defence prospect, that should be ready for the nhl next year.

Hmmm... how about Dmitry Sokolov? (Research him if you've never heard of him. Few people know his name, but he's gonna be really good.)

Vinni Letteri, Tim Gettinger, Cristoval Nieves, Alexandre Carrier... All sorta bigger names for me prospect wise...
Could also part with Nick Ritchie... he's an established wing for Anaheim but needs a new contract at seasons end... should be more than a Hyman deal.
Can also part with some form of a pick in this deal too.

It's very unlikely we move them in-season. Maybe in the offseason we could do a bit more dealing, and we'll probably re-think our list of how available our players are.

I mean... these deals would be extremely minor... taking from a position of strength to hopefully fill one of weakness... And they could likely net you a pick in 2018... if you wait until the off-season you likely aren't getting a pick

I still want to get a better idea of how our players and prospects play this year before moving some of them. We'd need a big overpayment to move them.

So what you're saying is....2 more months of you turning down every offer presented to you?
Sorry for not wording it in the form of a "direct question", but this isn't Jeopardy.

What do you mean? I've made 2 trades, i don't see how i've been 'turning down every offer'.
