Note: Reports prior to Sept 2023 were originally graded out of ten, and also included additional categories that have been merged into the current categories.
This likely results in the overall ratings prior to 2023 being decreased in comparison to reports since Sept 2023.

For an `Apples to Apples` comparison between players, we recommend only comparing reports before, or after, Sept 2023.
Results will average out accordingly as more data is accumulated.

The second half of Domi's season in Toronto was much more consistent and impactful than the first. His role was elevated from a predominately third line forward to the top six with the Leafs. Plays quick and fast. Pressures opponents up ice. Has the pace to arrive ahead of of checkers and win pucks. Leans distributor more than shooter. Streaky offensively. Border line discipline at times. A bit of a 'powder keg' at times who plays on the edge. Opponents are aware when Domi is on the ice. RL
Satan is the son of former NHL forward Miro Satan. Born in the USA when his father was playing in Buffalo. Massive frame. Nearly 6'7 tall. Has added over 25lbs in the last year as he starts to grow into his body. Skating mechanics are pretty sound for his size. Good edges. Stride in open ice could be longer and more powerful - but might improve as he matures. Difficult to defend along the wall and out front the net when stationed around the crease. Leans goal scorer more than play maker. Requires significant amount of time to develop. USHL rights owned by Chicago Steel. 2-way forward. Not punishing but definitely a handful to defend.Apr. 30, 2024-

Extends plays by using his frame as an advantage / pushing opponents of the puck. Empties the tank every shift. Average skater. Average skill. No frills Easily identified. Jack RoslovicLogo of the New York RangersC262 of 2

L3
It's been a tough year for Roslovic. He started the season relatively well - scoring 2G-6A in his first 14GP - but he's now suffered through a prolonged slump that has resulted in 0G - 4A in 21GP from November 11th - January 30th. His game has been perplexing. When he's 'on' he has the hockey sense, pace, and skill to be deployed in a variety of situations. Leans distributor more than shooter but has some net drive in his game via zone entries / when he gains the edge in transition. His TOI in CBJ has been on the decline - averaging between 11:00 - 15:00 per game - mostly at even strength - some secondary power-play - and no role on the penalty kill. Pending UFA. Contract carries an AAV of $4M. Bottom six forward who, when at his best, can slide in to a middle six role. Ability to play both center and the wing is a plus.Jan. 28, 2024Feb. 6, 2024

Winnipeg selected Wagner in the sixth round (175th) in 2022. The left shot forward will slot into Team Sweden's bottom six forward group. Wagner is a strong skater. He's quick out of the gate. It's difficult to sugarcoat things when analyzing the current state of his overall game. He's struggling to play to an identity. At his best, in the past, when he bordered on impacting the game as a pest who produced offense. At this stage he isn't nearly involved enough or competing hard enough up and down the ice. There's no doubt he's a better player than he is showing. He's slumping. All of his ice time comes at ES and PP#1. 8G-25A at ES / 14G-18A on the PP. When he has time and space he can beat goalies from the flank or middle of the ice. Defensive detail has significant room for more commitment. Team worst (-35) The kind of player who needs to play in the top six to be effective. Sep. 24, 2023Oct. 2, 2023

Big body / power forward approach / battles / hard to knock off the play around the crease Has better than average puck touch - when pucks find his stick between the hash marks in the offensive zone he is capable of finding the back of the net Skating has to improve for the pro game Competes to extend plays Sep. 17, 2023Sep. 25, 2023

Depth prospect who hasn't, yet, solidifying a role at the NHL level Works - competes - empties the tank every shift Quick to space - not shy about engaging in the hard areas of the ice Up ice he pressures pucks as F1 - creates turnovers Has some escape ability in tight areas - coming off the boards / half wall Secondary scorer at the AHL level - potential 4F if recalled in energy / checking role Sound three zone detail / hockey IQ / awarenessSep. 17, 2023Sep. 25, 2023

Relentless competitor who brings a combination of energy / secondary or depth scoring as a prospect Has the IQ to be used in a variety of roles - leans shooter more than natural distributor - Extends plays battling along the boards and out front the opponents net Good skater - has added more explosiveness as he matures The fact he can be used up and down the lineup makes him an attractive prospect to monitor A full season in the AHL is required to define his NHL upsideSep. 17, 2023Sep. 25, 2023

Bottom six NHL prospect who provides ample compete and energy Extends plays along the boards - tenacious - involved Not naturally gifted with the puck on his stick Potential NHL depth scorer but more likely a checking style forward who could PK Good skater - more quick than fast Needs seasoning at AHL level to better define upsideSep. 17, 2023Sep. 25, 2023

Decent size and strength Quick to space Element is offense - leans shooter more than distributor Defensive awareness / compete off the puck has room to improve Might have to sacrifice some offense for more overall detail at the pro level Can be deployed on one of the PP units Wants the puck on his stick in the offensive zone - has to play in top 9 to find a roleSep. 17, 2023Sep. 25, 2023
