I like the idea of trading Kravtsov for Pulj, more likely in the off season though if both of them are not moved at the TDL.

Terrible is an overstatement. They got a second for Lias Anderson whom was in a similar situation, also requesting a trade (former 7th OA).

Pretty sure he'll get a 3rd from some team, just using the Sharks as an example.

I gotta believe at WORST, they could do this straight up for him. You would think Kravtsov could fetch a 3rd from someone and I don't think Bjug is worth a 3rd and a 5th. *Not saying I wouldn't do this at this point though honestly, just need to get rid of Kravtsov lol

I don't think they have many options honestly. I'd rather trade for him than like a 3rd-4th round pick at this point.

Yeah I would be shocked if he got anything higher than a 3rd. I would hope he trades him for another "bust" prospect on another team where both players may just need a change in scenery.

He has intangibles, and he's been able to produce at an NHL level. As for Krav, he'd be a reclamation project. It's clear he needs a change in scenery, but for all we know, <em>could</em> be a bust. It would probably take a 3rd or 2nd to entice Poile to move Jeannot, judging by how Poile makes his trades.</div></div>
As a Rangers fan, I would definitely do a 3rd and Kravtsov for him. Worst case scenario, they can probably flip him in the off season for another 3rd if they can't resign him.

Kravtsov to the AHL or hit the road
I could not agree more. I think they should try and flip him with like a 2nd or 3rd for a tough, younger player like Jeannot from NSH. I know it may be considered "bad management of assets" but they may even just need to flip him for a rental for this cup run and just say bye at this point.

Yeah I don't see the problem with them just playing him up until the TDL as long as they don't start to slip down the standings. It seems like the team is starting to find its stride. I guess we will all find out what happens next month!

I think Jones will request a trade or be moved this off season for like a 2nd or 3rd rd pick to recoup some assets. I think he could be real good on the right team, maybe like a Neal Pionk.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jimbo1119</b></div><div>Each player mentioned here would be a real good addition to NYR, as any of these guys would result in displacing Lesch. And the costs mentioned for each all seem to be the going rate.
BUT....Plan A for me would be to put Krav on the Troch/Kreider line- try for the next 11 games (the TDL). This would put Goodrow on 4th line w/ Vesey and Gaut. If Krav doesn't show any traction- then make a deadline deal adding any one of the players mentioned here. That would put Goodrow in Krav's spot, and the trade would essentially complete the 4th line.
If Krav works out in this role- then NYR might just have a developing top 6 RW going forward. Can't forget... Senko is gone this year- and NYR are back to square 1 looking for another top6 RW. And pissing away 1st round picks to temporarily plug lineup holes is not good asset management.</div></div>
That's a great though, might as well use Kravtsov to see if it can work out and if not, hopefully boost his trade value. So unfortunate because he really would have benefitted from a year or two of working in the AHL to better accruement to NHL game. Right now, it seems like he is just not good enough to be in top 6 and not the type of player to be in the bottom 6.

Motte-love it, familiarity in the room and on ice with the players and system is nice. He won us all over last year
Bonino-has good history of making a difference but is he past all that? 🤷🏻♂️ not sold
Bjugstad-seems to be the 🔥 ticket item as he is having a good season on a bad team. Not sold
This are my thoughts. I’d target the first 2 for sure and possibly both if it can be done and they can play on Goody’s wings</div></div>
I agree, I think Bjugstad could be an option with his size, however I think he will be a slight over pay.
Love the analysis though, agree with it all!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>I'm not being biased at all. My ask is quite reasonable, if not a slight bargain considering there's no other winger on the market who comes close to him. And his "injury history" is one shoulder problem that the surgeon didn't fix right the first two times but hasn't been any trouble at all since then, and a shot randomly hitting his hand. That's his injury history. The guy generally goes 75-80 games per regular season, and I do not recall him ever missing a playoff game (though I'd assume he maybe had to at some point).</div></div>
Glad to see this aged somewhat well...I mean you did get a 1st but definitely got a much lower end prospect and a 4th, plus NYR got Mikkola...

The Rangers are in serious trouble of an offer sheet
There is obviously always a possibility of this happening, however I think a team would have to really "overpay" for the Rangers not to match. I think even with a longer-term deal, I don't think Miller with make quite that much. I could see more of a 5-7 year deal at 6-6.5 million. Chytil will likely get a bridge deal similar to what you put here, maybe a touch higher AAV. I agree Laf is the x-factor and the most likely candidate for an offer sheet. I think at that value, the Rangers would find a way to match it.
I feel like the mentality has to be somehow getting these players signed until 26-27 season, then the expensive contracts start coming off. Im curious if they will try and use the LTIR loophole as well.

Definitely going after the right pieces, likely need a decent amount more to get Jeannot (which would still be worth it). Maybe dropping the 2nd rd pick coming back??
