Mittelstadt Chychrun and a Cup run
If Sens believe 2021 1st rounder Bolduc is NHL good, yeah the Sens might do the deal.
Think it's a fair deal for both Sabres and Blues.

Interesting offer, I don't think most Sabres fans would do it. But with retention you are basically getting him for 2.5mill in actual Salary. Basically a 50/50 guy, but is having a off year. That prospect is a big boy but I would probably need another pick included. Faulk is a older version of Joker, but with more Offense and is a bit more physical. They both skate very well.

Right. And you can post a trade that I don’t agree with. It is what it is. Clickbait or not, I made a hypothetical trade and not everyone is going to agree with it

I think Bolduc will become a winger, hopefully comfortable on the right side.

Anyway I agree he is the current top prospect given my limited knowledge. Seems like he’s a pure goal scorer at the Center position.</div></div>
Idk if he played C this year but the last 3 before it he played LW mostly so who knows rn
he exploded this year tho
Also Alexandre (with an E) Bolduc was a 2003 Blues draft pick

LDs on my wishlist
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Really? I kinda have the idea he's pretty much untouchable. I'd absolutely do a 1st, a 2nd (one of them '22, one of them '23) and Ellis right now. And I'd add another B-ish prospect if they also took Scandella back.</div></div>
no i totally disagree that he's "untouchable" and here is why.
CBJ has a hard time retaining free agents. They had a chance to lock him in, they took short term and low money. They are a rebuilding team, lots of young players. While he probably would make life easier for them, fact is, I'm not sure he fits their window at this point. I think he knows that and they do to. So I'm not sure he'd stick around after next season. So if I got a solid offer, I'd take it. I'm sure they would to.

Oh, and by the way, I have a little secret for you: a not insignificant portion of Blues fans are total dimwits who wanted to toss Tarasenko in the trash for nothing prior to the season (no, I am not referring to anyone here).</div></div>
Well I'm glad I finally got the GM on the line.

Army doesn’t like to do rentals as trade targets so I would say Lindholm is coming with an extension.

Dunn is playing well, but Walman has taken a huge step this year and I think he deserves a regular spot, plus Perunovich will get a shot. We're pretty deep on left D, so trading Mikola and Dunn to get a RHD could be good IMO. What you think?</div></div>
Dunn should be moved. If for no other reason, cap purposes. Though if they could somehow get Seattle to take on Scandella without much given up, I'd keep Dunn. I'd rather take that route if possible.

Thread:
where StLouis would be if they managed their assets properly
I've disagreed with pretty much every decision the Blues have made since winning the cup. I disagreed with the Faulk extension, I disagreed with letting Pietrangelo walk, I disagreed with trading Allen and I disagree now with the Binnington extension.
However, I don't know how much better this team is with all of those decisions reversed than it is right now. Pietrangelo has been horrible in Vegas and Faulk has been elite this year in St. Louis. I don't expect that to continue but having Pietrangelo being bad for one of his last prime years is not ideal. Binnington hasn't been great, but Allen also had that opportunity with the Blues a million times as well and he never ran with it. I think Allen's a great goalie and I'm not surprised it's working somewhere else, but it was never going to work here.
And saying the Blues should have kept Allen would have meant trading Binnington last offseason instead, because "managing our money properly" would mean knowing we didn't have the cap space to have both on the roster this year at nearly 10 million and make all these other moves you want to make (like keeping Pietrangelo and still signing Krug), and if you're saying we should have traded Binnington last offseason that's just ridiculous hindsight-ing, and his value would have been insanely low then anyway after the bubble. In actuality the Blues should have probably not extended either of them.
That said, Scandella >>> Edmundson, and I don't think Scandella is anything special, but Eddy is just sidecar-ing to Petry's Norris-worthy campaign right now. Scandella's contract is too long but so would Edmundson's have been.

Pretty sure schwartz is not obligated to sign with seattle if selected, army can talk to jaden and get him to buy in to this being the best way to keep the team together

St Louis Blues 2020 - not resigning Pietrangelo version
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blunder</b></div><div>I get that, but usually in these situations the organization wants to make a commitment to a player who captained your team to a stanley cup & is a key core piece for the team. Exception if you will.
I could see the Blues passing on guys like Schwartz and Perron in the future if the money isn't right, avoiding the idea that the "band has to stay together", but Pietrangelo is the one guy you don't want to let go IMHO.</div></div>
I do agree with you that Pietrangelo is the one guy you don't want to lose above all others. But if you give the captain the huge deal, what's to stop Dunn holding out this offseason for more cash? What about Thomas and Kyrou next year? I'm not saying the Blues end up like the Leafs, but there is organizational momentum to this kind of stuff -- "if he's getting paid, why not me?"
To me, no player is bigger than the organizational philosophy of keeping top end salaries low and spreading the wealth among more players. Even Pietrangelo. There are only a few clubs that have been able to successfully obtain that kind of organizational mojo over time and it should be protected.

I know he got injured this year, did that set him back alot?</div></div>
Yeah it did set him back, but really it's more of a function of the Blues having a glut of forwards that would be considered middle 6. Sanford has the 2nd line spot on lockdown at this point whereas that spot belonged to Blais at the start of the season.
I think Blais (or to be specific his RFA rights) are a prime trade target for the offseason to be honest. He has more value to another club than he does to the Blues.

Allen is like 5th in the league in save percentage, and he's been playing great for over a year now. You should watch him, he's totally fixed his mechanics, looks like a whole new player. He's probably worth a 3rd by himself.

He’s gritty which will fit in nicely, but his entry, exits, and shot contributions are all positive as well which indicates a good puck carrier. He basically seems like a much more talented Sundqvist. I think you add a player like that to the ROR line and they’ll be unstoppable.
