How much do the Canucks add
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>majormoose007</b></div><div>Highly doubt the Canucks would move their best prospect for a RHD it would like be a winger in that trade and Detroit has plenty of wingers in their lineup and in the system</div></div>
Thats fair but Rathbone really doesn't fit considering we wont move Hughes and cant move OEL

If that is what it takes to get Fiala I would rather the Canucks just trade retained Boeser for him

Might? It's definitely better. It's seen as the best since 2003 (which is at least Top 3 of all time) and a lot of people think 2015 will surpass 2003 eventually.
Just one question: Greenway > Terry? Seriously?</div></div>
My bad on Greenway over Terry. I must have missed him when looking at the wikipedia page lol

Future considerations
VAN
Dylan Coghlan
Patric Hornqvist
Eetu Luostarinen
2.5 million of dead cap (Dadonov)
3rd round pick (FLA)
FLA
Evegeni Dadonov 50% retained
I like the principle but I feel like the trade you suggested is stacked for Florida.

RIP our playoff hopes. It was good while it lasted.
Tried to get a lot faster with Kap and McMichael
Retain Boudreau, BPA in the 1st. If we suck consider trading Garland and Bo at the deadline but I dont think we'll be that bad

Crossroads 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan_Ollivier</b></div><div>You should do one where you trade both Miller and Boeser. You are bang on though, this team isn't a real contender. Or even close to it. Many Canuck fans see Budreau as this guy who made the team great but that's misleading. They are very streaky under Budreau. Started off with a huge run of wins and then Jan through March you were a 500 team. Then another streak in April. In both streaks you beat a lot of bad teams.
The reality is Benning put together a deeply flawed roster with major cap issues. Lots of bad contracts with term as well. I think moving those out and having a bad year next year (and should have been this year) and you would be on the path to be a contender the season after next. Jumping the gun on rebuilds is always a bad idea.</div></div>
Agreed. It's why I am happy we have our new FO. Benning would have absolutely taken this upturn in form as a reason to go all in and trade for another albatross contract. Hopefully, Rutherford and Allvin can look at the bigger picture

Crossroads 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canucks33</b></div><div>I've proposed these exact trades before. Apparently management wants to shake up the locker room chemistry, which to me sounds like Miller and/or Boeser are gone.
I think the Avalanche could be a good partner for a Miller trade. Say they don't make it to the Finals and Kadri walks, Miller (with an extension) makes a lot of sense. Newhook or Byram would be the main piece coming back along with a 1st.
I don't see the point of keeping Garland if we are trading Boeser. Boeser is the better player, so if we are moving him then we might as well collect even more assets by moving Garland too</div></div>
I dont think Colorado will trade Byram or Newhook but I would like it
I would prefer we keep Garland. There isn't a rush to trade him and I would prefer we let him settle a bit more

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeautifulIdiot</b></div><div>I like the ideas, I think that the Dadonov thing is really smart, I think that as crazy as it sounds miller is more replaceable, we can have a top 6 without him, its the supporting pieces that we need. I think that if we were to pedal miller and get a young RD and a young middle 6 forward and a 1st we should be looking good. I really like the fillerteam idea, lets just have it be seattle because theyre the new guys</div></div>
Agree on Miller. I was going to include a trade for him but I couldn't really think of one so I just posted it like this. He is great and I love him but I really dont feel comfortable paying him a massive contract considering were not really contending yet.

What would be a Miller trade that would work with this roster? We could sign an outside FA to fill his top 9 spot
