Montreal Canadiens signed Charles Hudon (1 Year / $800,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hanson493</b></div><div>Claude hates young players. Absolutely hates young players especially ones that dont backcheck well. See Ryan Spooner as example A.</div></div>
Well... there is a reason why Spooner is no longer in the League and why i didn't work in New York, Edmonton or Vancouver. Can't be just that Julien hate young players (which I doubt anyway due to recent Memory.)

Little bit surprised he stays in MTL but I don't mind because:
a) he gets his game together and is a cheap addition
b) he sits in the press box and continues to eat popcorn (as the person before me mentioned :D)
c) he gets sent down and this chapter ends at the end of the season
in other words. Nothing that will ruin your Franchise

Montreal Canadiens signed Artturi Lehkonen (2 Years / $2,400,000 AAV)
I said to myself that everything under 2.5 AAV is fine. Artturi needs to find one thing: offensive consistency. He has the tools to be a 20 goal scorer he has to use those tools and than this contracts would look more than fine.

Decent signing. Let's see if Armia can continue to improve his game.

For 8 Mill? I'd gave him that any day. Have fun with him Nashville!

Another depth body for ... what 20 positions in the mid-late draft? MTL wins this one.

(MTL/PHI) - Froese, Schlemko for Folin, Weise
Pretty even trade ... i guess. Sad that it never worked out with Schlemko in MTL, though it was a good pick up back then. Well it happens. In the end no clear winner for either team in my humble opinion.
Welcome back Dale.

Depth signing. Has played in the NHL. Nothing wrong with that. Call up candidate (if he clears waiver which I expect) if there are injuries down the road.

Vegas Golden Knights signed Alex Tuch (7 Years / $4,750,000 AAV)
Well...
IF it turns out that Tuch is the player that George McPhee expects this could become a bargain
IF NOT than this could become an anchor of a contract ... just as Nate Schmidt (and some others on that team... Hello Patches for that)

Vegas Golden Knights signed Nate Schmidt (6 Years / $5,950,000 AAV)
I'm sorry but I just simply cannot see a 6 Mill player in Nate Schmidt. A fine Top 4 Defender for sure. But 6 Million per year? I have my doubts.

0 harm with this. League minimum for a 7th D that can play in a top 6 role? Good signing. Personally I hope he gets a shot ... liked him in MTL tbh.

I like Paul Byron and so do I like this contract. From Waiver pick up to very solid 20 goal scorer. Well done!

(SJS / OTT) - Karlsson, Perron for Tierney, DeMelo, Norris, Balcers & picks
Winner? Loser? This is a no brainer.
What is the condition? If Melnyk leaves they get the picks and this clownshow can finally end?
That Sharks Blue Line now. Sweet Jesus!

(MTL / VGK) - Tatar, Suzuki, 2019 2nd for Pacioretty
It just had to happen. Thank you for everything Captn. Patches!
Now back to the trade.
A 30 Goal Scorer for a 20 Goal Scorer, a pretty decent Centre Prospect and a 2nd round pick.
I think its a fair deal. Bergy gets rid of a player that he hates and Vegas gets Firepower.

I said to my self before today: If we get Pleks back for 1 year with 2.5-3.0 Mill I'm fine with that.
2.25? I'm more than fine. Welcome home Pleks!

It's Vanek. He will put up points...and will get traded at the deadline. But yeah the signing is fine. 3 Mil for a guy capable of 50 points is good.

(SJS / FLA) - Draft picks for Hoffman
Fair Trade for me. Florida gets a good player (if we forget the off ice drama for the moment) and San Jose gets picks for a guy they obiously never wanted.
Winner: Both
Loser: Pierre Dorion and the Sens
