This guy is good enough to make the nhl.
Horrible mismanagement by Garth Snow and co.

Weegar and Gaudette
The strategy is excellent: upgrade from Holl to Weegar and save cap by exchanging Kerfoot for Gaudette. The problem is that you haven't paid enough for either player.

Gallagher is still really good, but it's kind of awkward being a Montreal right wing at the moment - there's like 12 of you

I think Marc Bergevin likes to troll the media in his off time. Either that or he and Gally have a passion for roleplay.
This is about what I expected. The Chris Krieder deal, as he is a direct comparable. One year less, but the same deal otherwise. This is a solid deal. Thanks for the drama MTL.
Congratulations, forum passerby. You've been baited by a buff French dude.

They tried to win when they had no business trying to win (17-20).
Now they're trying to rebuild when all the FAs are signing on the cheap, two of their best players had career years AGAIN, they made the playoffs (kinda) for the first time in three years, and they have tons of young talent ready to go.
I, for one, am having a great time with this. Keep it up Stan.

If we tried to win
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cham</b></div><div>Me personally no because I grew up with Kane and I want to be able to compete again with him (and Toews/Keith), however, if Bowman managed to piss off him and the other core guys enough and traded them (which isn't out of the realm of possibility) I don't hate that trade but I'm higher than most (I think) on Texier and Korpi. I think if we went full rebuild so long as we could flip Nyquist (who I'm assuming you're moving for cap reasons) it could work.
...That being said I might cry for a month straight if we traded Kane, Toews, and Keith (and holy parenthesis)</div></div>
I honestly like Korpi over Merzlikens, but I know Jackets plan on keeping Elvis and moving Korpi at some point. Nyquist was Definitely for cap reasons, but I like his two way play. If we get Kane, I would be okay moving Atkinson but the Jackets never would, he is probably an icon, and franchise type guy on small market team. I am very high on both Texier and Foudy, I includes Texier because he is slotted on the wing but can play center. Foudy is a true center, so I wanted to keep him.

Wrong. Strome doesn't have arbitration rights. Both of these deals are being reported by The Athletic.

No doubt. Commesso May take 3 years to develop, but hey, goalies are like that. Not a problem! But, look at it this way, as you said, if he hits his ceiling and develops in college and minors the right way, watch the **** out.

I guess that's the difference between the Pens and the Hawks.
The Pens are committed to every year with their star players the Hawks are not.
That's a bad sign for ownership. You can say a lot of things about GMJR but one thing he has on Bowman, is he's willing to do whatever he can to win while he can. Chicago is just wasting Kane.</div></div>

And Kane will be 34 before he ever laces up. At the least.
That's if he even makes it.
is that what you want to waste the last best year of Kane on?
They might as well trade Kane and say, rebuild. I can't imagine he's happy with that. I'm sure he'd like to win, at least 1 more time before he retires.</div></div>
He's one of the younger guys in the draft...so when you say his stats were bad...he was team USA's starting goalie at 16 while playing with 17 year old kids. You're correct that it'll take a LONG time for him to get into the NHL, but that's how it works for just about every single goalie drafted. To you're point...Hawks probably could have traded for Murray and still drafted this guy. They didn't and I'm happy with that.
