For sure Miro. But i think he’s untouchable.
Lappy is prolly more NHL ready but miro will be a good top 6 player and Lappy looks like a solid 3C to me in the future

Small Moves
As a Sharks fan I hope Bonino gets moved to a contender. Return for player and cap retention seems reasonable if at trade deadline.

I agree that he is planning to play this year.......however.....he is one more concussion or concussion sympton away from taking some serious time off in the NHL.

Leafs Draft Day Prediction
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EEEEE15</b></div><div>Again, I don't believe that anything you're saying is wrong. It's just my belief that dubas figures out how to use an early 3rd to get rid of mrazek after how he got rid of Ritchie, but I would not be shocked at all if it took more.</div></div>
True. But I think with Ritchie there was still upside to consider. And he definitely showed that upside in AZ after the trade scoring 10 goals and 14 points in only 24 games. Idk though. Dubas might be able to get it done. But probably not with CHI. Davidson doesn't seem like he wants to do any favors and has said he is not going to take on cap dumps for just any old thing.

Well, it was a high 2nd and Woo is preferable to those choices by a good margin. Honestly, I don't think the Leafs and Blues make for good trade partners right now. The pieces don't match up right, other than maybe Sandin.

Next Year Breakout Candidates
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Isles5513</b></div><div>What’s your opinion of him? I wish I had gotten a chance to see him play this year.</div></div>
Hard worker who needs to iron out parts of his game, but he has a lethal shot and can create offence for himself unlike other goal scorers. Yet to be fully seen at the NHL but all the tools are there to become a very good top 6 scorer. His offensive ceiling is Alex Debrincat lite, it’s just a matter of if he can actually put it all together or not. At the worst, he should still be a good 3rd liner, but that’s absolute worst

Fix the 2nd line
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeauxPreds1</b></div><div>What’s even more funny is Nashville probably turns it down. Tomasino is gonna be a stud and His first year he was buried on the 4th line with 4 liners for most of the season and still got 32 points. For some reason hynes had a crush on kunin and he played most of his time on the second line. Not this coming up year Tomasino will definitely be in our 6 and I’m guessing 20 goals and close to 50 points his second year pro as a 21 year old. Poile doesn’t have a track record with hitting on forwards in the draft fiala being the only one in awhile so I’d like to keep the one he might of truly hit on</div></div>
Love how the guy you're quoting is calling Tomasino a 32 point, 11 goal CAREER player. Like he's been around the league for 10+ years, and these are his career point totals after playing 800 games.

Move Gio to RD
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Wtf? Thats like saying the Knights should consider trading Stephenson. You create cap space by moving out players who are on fair or expensive contracts. Not guys producing well above their cap hit expectation</div></div>
I love Barby but he only has one season left, and they have more pressing needs at defense. Next off-season, O’Reilly, Thomas, Kyrou, and possibly Tarasenko if they keep him will need new deals too so resigning him will be quite difficult.

Opinion Needed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EEEEE15</b></div><div>Can it happen if LA goes to free agency and signs someone like Manson?</div></div>
I don't think so. Right now, we have everything planned out for the right side of our defense (see <a href="/users/tkecanuck341" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@tkecanuck341</a>'s first two comments). Moving Roy just creates complications in an area we think we have settled for the future, as long as Faber and Clarke turn out (and even then, we might get by with one of Durzi or Spence).

dobson is one of the only guys they really can’t afford to move. they need that scoring punch from the back end that he brings, they have no one else like that. mayfield could definitely be had, our first is up for grabs i’d assume. honestly we don’t have much else in the way of assets, but i’d think pelech, dobson, barzal and sorokin are the primary guys they won’t move as of right now.

I think Detroit values Bertuzzi more than other teams do so I don't think he'll be traded. Value is fair. Nylander is a very good player. Just personally, I'd rather keep Bertuzzi.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Hard pass from NSH. That's more than Kerfoot should fetch, and the Preds don't have a need for him. Just trade him straight up for Kapanen.</div></div>
A guy that’s versatile and can play any position in the forward group in the lineup, is on pace for 55 points and getting no power play time at all (averages 4 seconds of PP time this season), kills penalties and only makes $3.5m against the cap and is only owed $750k after his $1.95m signing bonus is paid.. isn’t worth a 2nd and 4th round pick? Like Johan Larsson was just moved for a 3rd round pick and is no where near the player or value Kerfoot is.
Like come on. This comment was just pure Leafs hate than anything real talk.

Rutherford has been good at getting underperforming defensemen and turning their careers around. Hopefully it works here
