Offseason Plans and What to do with prospects
I can't stand Zadorov tbh. I don't see any of this "responsible in his own end". I see lots of turnovers that lead to goals. I know he is +2, but I just don't like him. Mostly because he was acquired for Saad.

Excellent on both sides. Janmark can play anywhere and the return for Chicago is better than what they got for Lehner

Yeah he looks like maybe a 20 point average player, which is about what you want from your 4th liner. Could Kampf or Carpenter be on the move then?

Jonathan Toews is a franchise player. No way he gets traded unless it is a Marian Hossa type thing.

Youth Movement Big Time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Perfectly okay with this, but would also explore trading Strome and a pick (even if it's the 2021 first) for a younger player/prospect to take over the first line LHD now or eventually. Even a guy like Lindholm from the Ducks if we can extend him. Keith, as much as i love the guy, he's making too many turnover mistakes (more then usual) which is likely some fatigue. Dial back his minutes and let someone else step into that first line role on the team.</div></div>
Yeah, the Blackhawks don't really have that legit #1 Shutdown Defenseman like Keith used to be. And by shutdown I mean defensively sound, I guess, not a DFD type of guy like Alzner or Scuderi or Chara. Boqvist will be a top 2 Dman in 2 years I think, and Beaudin is nasty, but I don't think either of them are legit number 1 guys unless Boqvist gets a bit better defensively. Lindholm is good, but we could also trade for someone like Ristolainen or maybe even Dumoulin?

Ok, my bad, I didn't know what kind of value Byron had, I know he can kill penalties but the offense isn't there. What about trading him and a 3 from 2023 for a 5th and Nieto?

Playoff push
Murphy isn't a good fit in Nashville. If Chicago were to trade for a playoff push, 2 things. Number one, they wouldn't give up Connor Murphy, arguably the second best defenseman on the team and certainly best shut down player. And second, I highly doubt the Hawks would give up big assets to Nashville, a hated rival.

Playoff Push with Toews and Dach
So you say playoff push and then successfully trade away arguably the Blackhawks' 5th best forward this season thus far. I'd say Kane, DeBrincat, Suter, Kurashev, Janmark have been our best guys up front so far. Janmark, in my opinion, should be a permanent fixture in Chicago. He can score. He can skate. He can defend. He can get in front of the net on the PP Shawzy Style (in case you hadn't noticed we now have Shaw and Janmark making a mess in front of the net at all times on the PP) and he can kill penalties like a beast. By far best addition from outside the org so far this season. Suter is good but Janmark has impressed me more. I was expecting Suter to be good, I was expecting maybe a 3rd line 30 points at best guy from janmark but he's a beast. However, to Suter's credit, holy crap that OT Winner last night was nuts.

Trading Graves pre-expansion draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>CrazyK04 Am I right in assuming that you would accept this, based on your earlier AGM roster?</div></div>
Yeah, I actually would still be willing to add Carlsson or some younger C/B level dman prospect if it came to that, but I was psyched when we dropped a 2nd and 3rd on Shaw so I'd be psyched if we dropped a 2nd and 3rd on Graves who is arguably a more important piece as a 3/4 defenseman.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>Depends if Seabrook would waive his NMC lol
If Chicago want Graves they're probably best off waiting until after the Expansion Draft and trading either with Colorado or with Seattle. If Seattle do what Vegas did and stock up on Dmen for draft capital then they'll likely have some Dmen available, including Graves possibly.</div></div>
Not if you can convince them to take someone else, ie pay a mid pick (3rd/4th) and a bottom 6 guy like Hagel or Highmore to take a guy like Kampf, Carpenter, or other depth pieces. That are serviceable but not crucial

Offseason and Toews Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Calm down dude. Brent Sopel tweeted something about Toews having ALS and then deleted it is the only credible rumor I've seen. If that's true, yours and others comment suggesting he's holding out or playing golf are going to end up making a bunch of people looks like jerks and social media is full of morons. Toews is top shelf competitor; I think it's much safer to bet something serious is going on with him as opposed to buying into conspiracy theories posted on social media from morons who are bored with their own life.</div></div>
Bowman said everything is status quo with Toews. To me that means no one knows anything. No progress is being made. And why would ALS if that is what it is keep him from opening night? I just think that combined with his offseason comments about the direction of the team doesn't bode well with fans. He's the captain and to me (I'm sure I'm not the only one) it looks like he's given up on chicago
