<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheLeafsSeason</b></div><div>I did 3 years since it gives him security</div></div>
I read CLB has offered Anderson $2.1m for 1 year or $1.9m/3 years. Would expect a lot of RFAs would lock into 3 year "bridge deals" with flat cap for 3 years. $2.35m -$2.5m would likely be a good deal for Anderson, wherever he lands.

Thread:
TOR 20
Just some tips:
1) Tavares has a no-movement clause, so he won't be moved.
2) Dermott's minimum would be $874,125 as a qualifying offer. You have cap space in this example, so might be best to have him signed as $2-2.5m over the flat cap era (3 years - only goes up to $82.5m in year 3, so expect to see a lot of 3 year "bridge" deals) in this example.
3) Mikheyev likely comes in at $2m+ over the same 2-3 years in flat cap era. The Holl type of contract likely as the precedent.
4) The Labanc idea is good - especially to replace 3RW with Kapanen being moved, just suspect his agent is regretting the 1 year team friendly deal now. He might be looking to try to get paid like he should have on last deal. I would expect him to be $3m+
5) Kapanen likely needs to be moved for NHL ready talent, and not prospects but creative idea. The pressure for Leafs is to win now, despite they are just coming into year 5 of the 5-year Matthews rebuild.
6) Murray for Andersen is likely a wash, but the fact that Murray is an RFA I tihink the Leafs can only make this deal if Murray comes in at or under $4.5m over a minimum of 4 years to get them through post-Covid cap.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>So kerfoot for Greenway in a straight up 1 for 1 yeah i could see that working. One team gets the center they need the other gets some toughness.</div></div>
what does Greenway's contract look like? considering flat cap essentially for 3 years, would he come in under $3.0m x 3? I have seen models that have him north of 4, but I beleive they assume a long term deal. It would be great to not have to always go back to looking at Josh Anderson @$2.1-2.3m lol

Nylander for futures
Dubas was apparently high on Bemtrom at the '17 draft, but not this high :)
I would have to assume anything with the CLB & TOR that involved Nylander would include Anderson (to replace the RW gap) , David Savard (shut down D they need) and and one of Korpisalo or Merzlikins.

Would be more interested in a goalie like Demko. Just for the price.</div></div>
So are you saying less for Merzlikins? He has a more proven pro and NHL track record than Demko. What is the price for Demko, have seen him as the sweetener for moving Eriksson's contract. Could he be the sweetener for taking on B.Sutter b/c Sutter is a guy the Leafs could use for C depth. Could a Kerfoot & Dermott for Sutter, Stetcher & Demko be a deal that makes sense?

Offers for Freddy
Freddie destinations could include CAL, CAR, MN, CHI or SJ. CAR & SJ have to move goalie contracts to make it happen. I think the Leafs would have to use draft picks to find another goalie vs a tandem. Would a 1st & 2nd (similar to when they got Freddie) for Merzlinkins work? I would have to think CLB listens...

Could this work
I doubt Nylander moves, but his value is more than the return in this trade. Not sure Poolparty fits the Leafs vision and moving Willy for anything less than a true #1 isn't making the team better. Think Willy plus for Hamilton, or Willy for a Dumba or Subban + (have seen this rumoured). And if he moves, the trickle down to replace the 2RW happens, which isn't as easy as people want go believe.

So WPG doesn;t need a player with more offensive upside with cost certainty? They are pretty tight to the cap themselves and having to sign Copp for more than $3.5m after next year when they need to ink Laine, Poolman & Pionk likely ends up with them moving Copp for less.

It was a Twitter feed from yesterday (not sure of the account) - Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in contract talks with Yeleshin (CAL) and Korshkov (TOR) over contracts for next season was the jist.

Mikheyev, ($1.75m) Barbanov ($900k) & Dermott's extra $500-800k come in around $3m and that leaves them with 12Fs. Brooks, Agostino and Petan out is only $2.1m. Mango has to go, unfortunately.

Will see a lot (maybe all???) of bridge contracts for 3 years for RFAs and possibly extended term with lower AAV for UFAs . Will be interesting to see what happens.</div></div>

Issue likely become McD likely needs to be one of the contracts that needs to move. Johnson & Killorn probably don't likely get to compliant. Good insights/discuss. Thanks for the prediction tool hint.
