TDL 2024
Lindholm is a rental so wouldn't give up so many prospects back as he is gonna be the top free agent this offseason. I'd give a first (which is gonna be a low first rounder) and a prospect like Chibrokov (So much upside yes, but you can't trust russians sticking around in the legaue).

Most the jets would give for Monahan
Don't know why they hate on the idea to pick up Monahan. They aren't gonna give up any top prospects and you get another centre that wins draws. He doesn't need to score just need to win draws. Depth at centre is great for a playoff push.

Sens Deadline
Sens will dump Kubalik and Tarasenko and retain 50% of both for picks. Pinto is not getting anything but his qualifier for this year. He really screwed himself. And in the offseason he's not getting anything but a 2yr $2mill bridge term.

Jets don't need Savard. But I do like Monahan for the playoffs. So I'd give Habs back their second for Monahan as rental.

Thats paying way too much for Savard & Monohan. I think the Jets D will be as is and if they want a RHD i'd get Hamonic from Ottawa. Cheap salary, Manitoba boy and will waive NMC on a playoff contender. But definely I'd get Monohan but I think they can just trade montreals 2nd round pick for him. But ya I like Monohn for the playoffs to play second line centre with Perfetti and Vilardi but I wouldnt over pay for a top 6 depth rental.

11200 attendance is crazy
If the Jets want bottom 6 depth, I'd get Kubalik from Ottawa for barely nothing. Sens need the cap space, Jets have it and he is on a 1yr rental. Good on the Power Play and good depth peace as Jets wait for guys like Mcgraty, Barlow, Lucius & Lambert to mature.

I am not concerend with attendance figures. In all sports throughout north america - both major and minor - attendance since the lift of the covid lockdowns have been down leagues wide. This is in part of inflation. It costs too much money to go out to a game even a minor league one like the CFL for most families struggling to keep the lights on heat pumping and fridge full. However, with all these leagues, as long as people still watch on tv, they are making money. The money is in the tv deals. The attendance and concessions are just a bonus.

are the Jets interested in Garland
Not the worst idea but the Jets have enough young forwards in their system coming up (Barlow, Mcgroaty). If he had 1-2 yrs left, I would take the deal, but its 3 yrs, so I am leaning to keeping dillion for the now. Its no but not a hard no.

I get it, then just bite the bullet and dump him. Sens put themselves in this position with the Joseph contract and re-signing hamonic

Simple solution is to move Kubalik for a 3rd round pick. Can then sign Pinto to that $1.8mill minimum he agreed to for 1yr

Playoffs
Either than Helly, Jets don't have any superstars, but in Winnipeg they are tough to come by and attract. But after the PLD trade aka Fleece, they have a solid top 9 and a good dcore group that can play well together by committe. And also they have enough cap room to add another forward to the bottom 6 as a rental come TDL or barring injury to the dcore another Dman if needed. It's not all bad in JetsVille.

Sens-ory Overload
Sens best option is to dump Kubalik and send Hamonic to contender he'd waive his NMC for. Don't know why they re-signed him. JDB and Lassi wouldve been fine at the 6/7 Dman spot.

too many d
Harkins and Stabley are fine as the #7 D & #13 forward. They are stuck with schmidt as most teams are in cap hell. Jets will have to pay to get rid of shcmidt. Which they shouldnt as they are both competing and stocking up with prospect cupboard. The only D to move that anyone will take is Dillion, and jets should look for a bottom 6 forward in return.

Kubalik and Hammonic are great trade chips. There is a shortage of RHD and if JDB & Thomson have a good camp, I'd ask Hamonic if he'd like to go to another contending team, and because of the shortage you can grab a 2/3 round pick. Same for Kubalik. Hes a vet that can play anywhere in your lineup, i rather keep him over Joseph but alas sens are stuck with him .

If they can't dump Mathieu, they are gonna have to trade Kubalik for some picks. Which is fine, he's not in the medium or long term plans anyways.

stop gap center
Jets are better off trying to get a mid 6 forward that has one year left as a rental while Lucius, McGroaty, Lambert, Barlow develop for one more year. I am thinking Adam Henrique, Brock Boeser or Jordan Ebrle.

What is heinola worth
Can't move schmidts contract, so better off trading Dillon for a bottom 6 forward and to clear a spot for Heniola. Team has plenty young D and Dillion is not part of the future. Jets draft well but damn do they ever screw it up (ex. Rosolovic, Laine, Stanley, Vesy,Trouba & now Heniola)

Future squidward meme
The retool is gonna work and the Jets will stay competitive so long as they manage their picks properly and not screw up like they did with Heniola, Rosolovic and Laine. If thats the team in 2 seasons its solid up and down the forward line up for years to come. But they need to start drafting Defensmen in the first round.

does Reaves clear waivers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>draft_em_sign_em_trade_em</b></div><div>Yea, give Reaves a 3 year deal yet couldn't get Bertuzzi, Domi or Klingberg to agree to a multi year contract.
Reaves 3 years as a Leaf will replace Simmonds 3 years as a Leaf.
I wouldn't miss Lafferty or Timmins if they're on waivers but Jarnkrok, yes, I like him.</div></div>
Bertuzzi and Domi are playing for bigger long term deals. They are using the leafs to increase their market value for next years free agency when the cap goes up. Domi might stay as hes a toronto boy and leafs will over pay for him on term and value because of who his dad is.
Jarnkrok, Laffery and Kampf are solid bottom 6 depth pieces, but leafs are over the cap. SO easier to move them and replace them with some Marlies in the bottom 6 so that they are under the cap and can continue to negoiate with nylander.

There is no saving this organization. Its now or never with this team. And if they dont win this year, they will never. Even worse considering they have no picks and no prospects. Treliving is just there to hang out and collect a pay day and be shannys fall guy. Mafia bosses Always need a fall guy
