Building for a brighter future
Now I hate when fans do this but:
If JBD was a 1RD defenseman we wouldn't trade him cause the Sens don't need Garland cause they have Grieg.

My Final 2022 Prediction
Yeah, this is a little of the bordish.
It also looks like Buffalo makes away with highway robbery cause Gauthier is a top 10 pick and is now being considered a top 5 pick.

He's done with the Flyers but I agree with the contender statement
Also where did Pinto and several other young players go, they should be on the team.

Zub is only available if he does not want to resign in Ottawa and Ottawa is not competing which should go hand in hand.
The Sens probably don't want any of your players anyway.

Thank you for not trading for JBD and then putting him as you're 1RD cause there is a ton of problems with that
Sens still decline cause JBD is too important of a piece for the future and probably the potential partner of Jake Sanderson while Thomson goes and plays with Chabot.

Produced better than a .62PPG scorer who has the longest goal screak in Sens history while also being there most heavilied used forward and gets almost no powerplay time versus a guy that was a staple on the 2nd PP?
Kase also has a tremendous injury history and is one hit away from a career ending injury so you have to include a better player than him. Kase also has a way smaller sample size that you're looking at.

Minimalistic yet Effective Blues Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>Yeah, Idk if either of them are ready for 2nd pairing minutes. I don't really trust Parayko right now either. If I had to guess based on performances and matchups you'd probably put Perunovich with Bortuzzo and Mikkola with Bortuzzo. Perunovich would be probably a good pairing with a big defenseman in Parayko, but right now I wouldn't give him huge minutes just work him into the lineup.</div></div>
I think Mikkola takes the 2LD slot cause he played there in platoon for the Blues a lot this year. He is also gotten a lot better an dhas fully matured to pretty much his 2LD role of a big shutdown pair with Paryko.

I mean Kessel had 55 pts on a really bad Arizona team so I think that he would be a pretty decent under the radar pickup for the Sens and would be a stopgap until the 7th OA pick would be ready to take that slot or another one of the prospects.

Minimalistic yet Effective Blues Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>Barbashev is probably being moved. Most likely will need a stop gap until Perunovich and Mikkola are fully ready for the big minutes. I'd obviously look at using Tucker and a couple of our other LDs in the near future such as Loof and Galloway. Pettersson doesn't exactly fit the bill as someone else likely would. I'm more interested in seeing Perron getting that or maybe even a little cheaper of a deal. Bozak is most likely not coming back another year. I think we have way too many 4th line checking centers who could fill that gap. Joshua, Toropchenko, Brown, etc. So most likely Barbashev, Bozak, out.</div></div>
Shut, sorry, I forgot about Mikkola and Perunovich. They would most likely split that time in the 2LD slot. Thanks for mentioning that but that makes so much more sense.

Never said it was a bad signing just don't know where'd he'd fit in with the Canucks that's all. It's actually probably going to be the best move of the Canucks offseason depending on how Kuzmenko pans out cause he is an RFA after this season as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TampaBayLightning22</b></div><div>Kyle Dubas will move out some bodies, So he easily matches that offer sheet on Rasmus Sandin.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leblock_james98</b></div><div>I’ve been saying the sens should offer sheet one of Sandin or lilljgren</div></div>
As <a href="/users/TampaBayLightning22" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@TampaBayLightning22</a> said the leafs will move out some bodies which will allow them to keep Ljilijgren and Sandin as cost controlled young defenseman that are very important in their cap crunch. So I doubt that the Leafs will not be able to match those offersheets.
To anwser <a href="/users/dtd_tank" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@dtd_tank</a> question Hague would be a better fit but there'd be a lot of competition from other teams and because Sandin is smaller in stature I don't think that the Sens who love big players overall. Less than 5 players in the organization under 6ft. I don't see them going out and getting Sandin.
Sandin playing future with the Leafs is uncertain however with the resigning of Giordano they now have three veteran defenseman a head of Sandin on the LHD side so I don't know where he factors in if they want to play him on their off side.

Just a little but he's cheap and effective to get so I really see a team with a lack of LHD going for Petterson cause of his price. I think they keep Barbashev's physicality for one more season. Just to give Neighbours enough experience so that he has a seemless transition to the pro ranks.

I like him cause he's a solid 26 year old LHD that will play ~80 games a season and will be a rock on the back end. He is also not too overpayed and would be a low cost great value pickup.

Fair enough, I think that I would then target someone else with Boeser using him as a trade chip. His contract situation is very tricky though and I think that the Canucks are going to try and get ride of him this summer especially with the signing of Kuzmenko.

Honestly, I don't think LA is interested in Boeser at all. He's a below-average skater, at best, and Blake has said in the past that the Kings are only looking to acquire players (draft and trade) that are at least "good" skaters. Vancouver should probably trade him somewhere else if they're not interested in qualifying him.</div></div>
Vancouver has to qualify in order for Boeser to have value and I though that this was the reaction that I was going to get but what about Spence/Durzi instead of Roy. I'm shying away from Walker because of his injury history.

I am not sure Connor Brown is traded. I don't know what their plan is but he's the Sens best 2-way winger, their #1 PK forward and has been the most used Sens forward in each of the last 3 seasons. He's out there in every situation, coach relies on him a lot
Let's see which winger they acquire this summer first, then who complicates things at training camp...</div></div>
Or what prospect they hope makes things interesting so they don't have to acquire a winger.
I think that Buraskovsky would be one of the best options though. Or Nechuskin. Both would compliment Stutzle well and be potentially 30 goal scorers and both would have deep playoff experience.
