He's a Kredier-esque forward that probably gets around 20 to possibly 30 goals in a season.
I don't think a lot of people know this but he scored 18 goals this year while playing in about ~70 games.

If Barzal had scored double of what he does he'd be worth 10 million.</div></div>
He also played for Barry Trots where any player will score a lot less.

The qualifying offer needed to retain his rights is way higher than what he's worth.</div></div>
SO a PPG center that is in the prime of his career with one year left on a contract then is an RFA isn't worth the 10m dollar qualifying offer that would be around his next contract. Wow, if you're not willing to pay what he is worth than you won't get him simple as that.

Ottawa and Anaheim are surefire declines cause there isn't enough value going back to Anaheim to get ride of 4 propects that you said yourself have pretty good upside and Formenton is far more usefull to Ottawa than Heinen is. Especially because if Ottawa wanted Heinen they could have gotten him in free agency last offseason.
Overall really well though out but those Ottawa and Anaheim trades need work.

I get that that Ottawa trade is pretty fair I just don't see Ottawa going after Garland.
The player that they go after will be a top point producer to compliment Stutzle and Garland is good but will only put up around 60pts per season. Sens are looking for around 80 - 90 points and a pure goal scorer.
JBD will also be a core piece on the RHD side of the Sens defense with Zub and probably Brannstrom.

I think that Boston would not be interested in any deal with OEL cause they now have Lindholm as their pillar on the LHD side of their defense but if I did have to draw up a trade with Boston it would be:
TO VAN:
Brandon Carlo
Charlie Coyle
TO BOS:
OEL
2022 15th OA pick
Jack Rathbone

His contract isn't bad. Also Pittsburgh and Calgary decline hard cause they have no need to do those trades at all. If you want a comparable look at the Stralman trade to Arizona where he was traded for a second and a B prospect.

Um... So just to be clear, you don't want a cost controlled PPG amazing skating center for two B prospects and the 8th OA pick. I'm pretty sure that Detroit and Yzerman would take that in a heartbeat.

Buddy, you're out to lunch on the moon here with a couple of you're trades.
Like a 7th defender for the 24th OA pick! You serious.
A interesting prospect that's probably only going to be a bottom to middle six forward on the RW side where Buffalo already has a couple of prospects that are better for the 14th OA pick.
A 5th 6th defenseman and a second for the 8th OA pick. Then trying to trade that for what could be Bedard. Are you serious.
I mean the value and bias that you have to you're players is insane especially cause you said that Kravtsov was worth the second OA pick after not even going a PPG in the KHL. Look at some stats and some needs before you make these trades.

Kudos for thinking well outside the box though. One other point would be NAK, Sturm and Murray but that's minor. Sturm hasn't been good enough, Murray wasn't good enough and NAK I think Sakic gives a minimum take it or leave it offer. I'd rather see Cogliano and Helm re-signed in those bottom two forward spots tbh but that's just personal preference as I think they've earned it with their play in the play offs.</div></div>
You're paying a sixth and gettin one of the best young centers in the game. That is a steal for the Avalanche. I really doubt this Florida stuff though.

I think the Sens should try and get him cause he is the same age as Zub and is a good shutdown LD that would really solidify that LD side and move Brannstrom over to the right side where he looked really good and could get more ice time.
