Without Necas and Pesce there is probably no chance Winnipeg talks.

Laine for Ekblad
If a deal is worked out, I think Laine for Ekblad is a good starting poiint, but with Ekblad being under contract for 5 years at a reasonable cap hit and Laine being an RFA, the jets would need to add. top pairing D are simply more valuable than goal scoring wingers, but the panthers should be intrigued by the deal...a Barkov/Laine combination is pretty exciting.

If we could pull those moves off ,sign me up! Manson would really help us on the back end. We are lacking some toughness and grit ever since Buff retired and we last Chariot leave as a free agent.

And they’re gonna trade that for a severely inflated contract in Marner all the while giving up an excellent value contract in Ehlers.... I think not</div></div>
AND a 1st round pick plus Copp too... 😂

Dunn for Bertuzzi next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redw1n9s</b></div><div>Except Dunn isn't a 1D...
Pass from DET. No reason to trade a core piece for a guy like Dunn - good player, but not putting this team over the top by any means.</div></div>
You have to consider their roles on their respective teams though. Bertuzzi is DET 1LW because, well, you don’t have anyone else. Dunn has had lower usage because of STL’s defensive depth. Dunn is 100% a top-4 D with top-2 potential in a couple years. Bertuzzi is not a 1LW on most other teams in this league. It’s at least good value for both teams, I think it just depends on who DET wants/needs more right now.

Johnson in Eriksson out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TCMonkey</b></div><div>I did suggest it would need to be the TBL 1st + the VAN 1st, so I'm not against taking back picks... I just want it to be fair value and since NO ONE ELSE is going to touch Eriksson, VAN can either keep him or pay what is being asked. For me, a late 1st and late 2nd is not enough. But I truly feel the deal should involve Zaitsev.</div></div>
Zaitsev's contract is even worse than Eriksson's. Loui has two more years with only $5 million of real money owed. He can play a legit 3rd line winger and kill penalties quite well. He's still servicable, but at $6 million AAV it's a ridiculous cap hit. NZ has four more years at $18 million of real money. He's a 3rd pairing D-man at best...AT BEST! In this case, I would say that given Ottawa's lousy financial situation, they may need to take Loui and include one of their prospects in order for Vancouver to take on this boat anchor of a deal.

NJD swap
This is marvelous and great to see AGMs like this
NJ would (mistakenly) appreciate a player like Sutter with their current young skill roster. Vancouver could use a QB for PP2 and more quality back there. Sweet.
If BS was greatly appreciated by NJ only a 2nd also 👍

exactly, premise is, why would he sign an offer sheet to go from possibly the warmest market to the coldest market.
if he refuses, then Winnipeg has no control.
trading for his rights, gives winnipeg the control in negotiations.

TOP 10 RW IN THE LEAGUE? Can I get some of whatever you're smoking? And yeah, we all know the Coleman trade was an overpay, but A) he had an extremely affordable cap hit, B) filled a need for the Lightning, and C) wasn't an expiring contract.

The Gap Year before Perfetti
They do need to get to that cap floor. They can do it on their own without trades, but still. Niku is an intriguing prospect who fell out of favour with the old school Paul Maurice. Never really got a shot this season and when there was opportunity he got injured in a car crash. This would not be a free cap dump...Niku is an NHL dman

Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>1st of all, Aho is still the 1C. He's still better than Eichel.
2nd, you're giving up a franchise goalie in Askarov (according to most draft reports, Askarov should fall to 13), an Elite player in Necas, the best DFD in the league in Pesce (this is excluding hjalmerssen because he's a cheatcode) Suzuki and an unprotected first for a dude that's notorious downfall is the fact he can't play defense? Uh... yeah I'm good.
I'd be willing to part with one of Necas and Pesce, but both should instantly be a no. Something like Bean, Necas, 2021 1st, Bokk, Suzuki for Eichel. Or, Pesce 2021 1st. Suzuki, Rees. and maybe Skjei or Nino. If this is the asking price from Buffalo (referring to the ACGM) this needs to be laughed out of the south</div></div>
aho is better than eichel?? i’ve seen it all now

Trading up with Buffalo
For the buffalo trade, I agree with you that buffalo is better off moving down and getting a winger. They have a center and need a winger, a goalie like askarov, or a guy like lundell, all of whom should be available at 10. However, I don’t think the 2021 2nd will be enough. I think you will have to make that a 2020 2nd and add niku. Can have a 3rd coming back that way.
As for perreault, retain some and send him off. Teams will probably godly take him for 2-3M against the cap.
Vegas might do it if you drop the 4th and retention.
Finally, if that’s the return for Roslovic, I’m not moving him. We should get a little less than kapanen (since I think he’s worth about the same but Pittsburgh grossly overpaid). I expect at least a 1st for Roslovic considering that he’s going to be cheap and is a future top 6 forward
That’s my speal. I like the move, but I don’t think chevy moves the 2020 2nd unless he gets a later 2nd or a 3rd. 2c isn’t the only long term need we need to address. We need a big rd and guys like villeneuve, Moore, cotton, nickl, and thompson should be available there so it’s a good chance for WPG to get that big rd. That said, if the jets don’t think lundell (or another center) will drop, I move the 2020 2nd without thinking twice. Solve one problem at a time
Good job
