Six 1sts^^ But this is probably little bit too optimistic. We should get a better return for Kubalik, 50% retained and we could get a really good return.

Not a fan of either team but random trade idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tonyhzs</b></div><div>So you're saying Detroit doesn't want to add 11 million to the cap on two below average players? Chiarot is not as good as Petry, but the cap hit is lower than both players coming back. Granlund is at 5 million for another 2 years, like Petry at over 6 for 2 years.
Detroit can handle 1 bad 4.75 million contract for 3 years. It won't be hard to move if it becomes troublesome. Worst case he gets put in the minors for the last year if he can't be traded. A better scenario is if he is the 7th D , albeit way overpaid. His contract expires just as Edvinsson will need a raise.</div></div>
Also: We lose Chiarot and we are the softest team in the league. Chiarot is not here to be a Elite defenseman, but we need good leaders on a young team. I think his stats can certainly be better, but the eye test...I dunno, I think he's a lot more important than the stats would indicate, and Lalonde seems to agree.

My Yzerman Predictions
Obviously it would fantastic to add either Reinbacher or Pellikka, but neither of them would be higher than on the 2nd pair. We have Söderblom, Mazur, Hanas, Berggren, Buchelnikov, Rasmussen, Lombardi…Etc. Good prospects, but none of them are Elite. If a guy like Michkov starts falling, Stevie trade up!
Maybe you are right we’ll see.

The fact remains he got traded for a top pair defender last year in Matheson so Wings fans were wrong, very, very wrong.</div></div>
It was Hextall who traded Matheson away. No other GM would have done that.

Lucas Raymond for Brett Pesce
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLLGRW</b></div><div>Not just about points. He only got those points cuz he was playing with Larkin and most of his goals were tapp in goals. He's terrible on the power play and got demoted to the second power play. He doesn't hit anybody and is soft on the puck. He should have been sent down to the AHL and scored like two goals in the last 20 games.</div></div>
That’s why he needs more time to develop so he comes back stronger💪

Lucas Raymond for Brett Pesce
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Raymond straight up makes the team worse defensively, as he has been shown to do in Detroit. The Canes aren’t moving Pesce for an extreme liability. Besides, the Wings either don’t have or would be unwilling to give up the pieces required to land Pesce.
The Canes might have interest in Raymond, but it won’t be at the cost of Pesce.</div></div>
You are a troll also? Obviously Pesce is more valuable for the Canes, because they are Cup contenders. But you are seriously talking trash about 21y old Raymond. There are many young guys in the league who are still developing their two-way game. Can't Raymond make it better? He has the 2nd most points from the 2020 Draft, more than Jarvis. We don't have the pieces to acquire a 28y old UFA? C'mon. We have four 1sts round picks in the next two Drafts + a Top 5 prospect pool in the league.
Would you trade Seth Jarvis, 2nd round pick + for Jake Walman? Similar comparison.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>Colton has back to back 30+ pts seasons on a team playing 11 minutes a night, very limited pp and prime offensive opportunities. He's been very productive and I like his skill level. Given a bigger role I think hes primed to be a top 6 player. Zadina just hasn't played up to his ability. He does some things well I like how he transports the puck but he just hasn't produced and he's just fallen down the depth chart. Idk what his roll is.</div></div>
I am in the middle. It would be a risky move to trade Zadina in the offseason, because there are always ”Busts” who becomes good suddenly. Kotkaniemi, Tippet, Hayton, Vilardi, Dach…I could list 10 more here from just this season alone. I would rather trade a LD prospect or a pick than Zadina.
If Zadina starts poorly again next season, Sure, trade him.

You see TB IS WAYYYYYY BETTER THAN DETROIT and have the luxury to properly develop players Detroit is getting there. Zadina wouldn't be in the NHL were he part of the lightning organization he'd be riding the bus in Cuse</div></div>

Package deal for cap space
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Why in the world would Detroit need more cap space when they have $30 million to spend on 8 open roster slots and no significant RFA deals to pay for, now that Larkin's new contract has been signed?
They can afford to trade for David Pastrnak and sign 7 more players to an AAV contract of $2 million.
Dumping Lucas Raymond to save cap space is the epitome of idiocy.</div></div>
100%. Trading Chiarot now makes zero sense. Unless somebody wants to trade for him (which is not happening). Chiarot is not here to be a Elite defenseman, but we need good leaders on a young team. Take Chiarot out of this team and we are getting bullied. Maybe we trade Chiarot in a year or two, but right now we have no need to that.

I think you are underrating Hanas a bit. Points doesn’t tell the whole story, but these u22 players have really similar stats in the AHL: Gunler, Turcotte, Podkolzin and Hanas.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tonyhzs</b></div><div>Cmon now. There is zero chance Fantilli goes 3rd. Dvorsky is a poison pill in that his draft ranking us way overblown. Outside of Carlson and Benson (and Mitchkov), there arent any wingers that I feel are so good they should be top 10, and by the 9th or 10th pick, the wingers will be marginally better than the other centers available, and unless Pelikka or Reinbacher are still there, the wingers are mountains better than the rest of the D. I can see Moore falling to 9th, but not much lower. I really don't know how team scouts feel about Pelikka vs Reinbacher, but to me Pelikka is better, despite expert opinion. Pelikka would not be too much of a reach at 9 to 11, but with how shallow the D in this draft, the two good ones might go in the 5 to 9 range. That likely leaves Moore or Benson available at 9. I'd be ecstatic over Moore, but I'd just be ok with Benson. If Detroit falls to 10 or eleven, it might make more sense to trade back a couple or a few picks.</div></div>
People don’t factor in the competition Reinbacher plays against. Swiss NL is as good as the AHL. Auston Matthews had a 1.28PPG, Reinbacher (D-man) 0.48PPG. And the league has gotten much better since Matthews played there.
