Don’t think DET needs another Goalie and CGY’s not the Team to dump Fabbri on. ANA would be more open to something like that

That’s an Absolutely Amazing Trade for CLB. I’m sure they’d throw in Bemstrom for that too

Flames are only moving Vladar to gain cap space. Taking on Fabbri is counterproductive

I’m sure CLB would Trade Bemstrom and/or Olivier for Zadina no problem

Raymond straight up makes the team worse defensively, as he has been shown to do in Detroit. The Canes aren’t moving Pesce for an extreme liability. Besides, the Wings either don’t have or would be unwilling to give up the pieces required to land Pesce.

The Canes might have interest in Raymond, but it won’t be at the cost of Pesce.

No I've just watched the Red Wings get bullied by Ottawa and Minnesota this season. They need a legitimate enforcer that is under 30. Any other suggestions?

One is a soon to be 29 year old on an expiring deal and the other is a 21 year old. When those type of deals happen they backfire, just look at Zibanejad for Brassard

You are a troll also? Obviously Pesce is more valuable for the Canes, because they are Cup contenders. But you are seriously talking trash about 21y old Raymond. There are many young guys in the league who are still developing their two-way game. Can't Raymond make it better? He has the 2nd most points from the 2020 Draft, more than Jarvis. We don't have the pieces to acquire a 28y old UFA? C'mon. We have four 1sts round picks in the next two Drafts + a Top 5 prospect pool in the league.

Would you trade Seth Jarvis, 2nd round pick + for Jake Walman? Similar comparison.

Not just about points. He only got those points cuz he was playing with Larkin and most of his goals were tapp in goals. He's terrible on the power play and got demoted to the second power play. He doesn't hit anybody and is soft on the puck. He should have been sent down to the AHL and scored like two goals in the last 20 games.

I should have clarified. The pieces that would land Pesce that would also interest the Canes, Detroit would be unwilling to give up. All I am saying is, assuming the Canes bring back Patches or replace him with someone like DeBrincat for example, that only leaves 1 wing spot in the top 9, and that better options that don’t draw away from a team’s defensive capabilities would be available.

I have no doubt that Raymond will be an excellent offensive player, but I am almost certain that he won’t be a 2-way winger. You said it yourself, the Canes are a cup contender. The way I see it, the best the Wings would be willing to offer would be picks and prospects, or roster players from the bottom 6. A futures package for a cornerstone piece on a cup contender is about as helpful as a car without wheels. Sure Raymond has the 2nd most points in his draft class, but it isn’t all about offense. When it comes down to it, defense ultimately wins championships.

I know right! He has a ways to go but kind of nice having a 21 year old with some offensive firepower. Also nice hearing how he wasn’t thrilled that he took a dip in production. Should have a nice bounce back year with a good summer.

Imagine having a hard time scoring when 2 30+ goal scorers are injured for the majority of the season. They don’t have a hard time scoring when they have a roster that is actually healthy.

Lots of great players have had sophomore slumps. Dylan Larkin also had a bad sophomore slump, 32pts, -28 +/- in 80 games
Jarome Iginla, Brian Leetch, Teemu Selanne...all great players who had terrible second seasons but had amazing hall of fame careers.
Just stop with the dump Raymond crap.

That’s why he needs more time to develop so he comes back stronger💪
