<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rtapp326</b></div><div>I like that a lot. To play devils advocate though, here's a couple potential snags that I see:
1. Is Ottawa willing to commit to a rebuild? The return they're getting is all futures. Bracco and Liljegren could be in the NHL soon, but they don't have any NHL experience. Will Dorion bite the bullet and scrap this version of the sens or is he going to be focused on saving his own job and keeping the team competitive.
2. As a young team that's still building and adding young assets, the Avs may be a little reluctant to move two top-50 picks in addition to Tyson Barrie. I think the value of it is fine, but immediately Sakic loses his surplus of draft picks over the next two years.
3. IMO, I don't think Barrie is the defenseman Toronto needs. I think they like him, and they would be happy to add him to their team, but if I were the GM there, I'm making a big push for John Carlson, or I'm going after a guy like Chris Tanev who can provide solid defensive play and stability, and may not cost me quite as much to trade for him.</div></div>

I agree, Barrie is a great defenseman, but Toronto is making a push to sign Carlson. If they aren't able to get him, I can really see this trade happening. Toronto is a contender, and get a solid defenseman on the blue line. A pairing of Morgan Rielly and Tyson Barrie/John Carlson sounds deadly. Something that I, as a Tampa Bay fan would not like to see. I don't think Karlsson gets traded to Colorado based on their current situation, don't forget Karlsson has a NTC. I love this trade for Ottawa. Being in a rebuild state and getting an A level prospect, especially a RHD in Liljegren. I don't know much about Bracco, but 32 points in 50 games in the AHL sounds like a bang or bust, especially where he's 21. The 2 1st's could also be huge busts, or the next Wayne Gretzky. I'd love to see this happen. I like Tanev, but he's too injury prone. Plus I believe that Barrie will be more of an impact player than Tanev on the top pairing in Toronto.
