Armia out so there is your opening line up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Scooter81</b></div><div>I have legitimate confidence in Dadonov that he will be able to play top six minutes with Caufield and Suzuki. I think you should just healthy scratch Drouin. I don’t see the need for him since he’s been dealing with injuries recently. His contact is bad as well. If you don’t healthy scratch him just waive him.
I think you let Slafkovsky play top six mins with Dvorak and Anderson. Give him 9 games and then he will go down to the AHL.
I would like to see Pitlick get top 9 mins. 3rd line IMO will be Dach Pitlick and Gallagher.
4th line to start will be Hoffman - Monahan - Evans. You could put Monahan into the top six so he gets some extra value. You could then trade him at the deadline.
I could see Guhle playing with Savard. You want him to progress well. I’d want Matheson to start on line one. He was solid in Pittsburgh. The last spot is still a question mark. I think Wideman and Harris play on line two and Xhekja gets the last spot. Once Edmundson comes back, Xhekja goes down the the AHL.
Matheson - Savard
Harris - Wideman
Guhle - Xhekaj</div></div>
That’s what you would do, me I did the lines on what St-Louis might probably do
Dadonov have played worse than Drouin and he is on the 4th line right now with Pezzetta and Evans
Guhle played 4 games with Savard in preseason and matching other teams 1st line

Nah Matheson doesnt have a good contract come on
He is decent but that contract is bad
Matheson is more of a 3.5M-4M max

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oliver_wahlstrom</b></div><div>Varlamov aint getting more lol.
Islanders fans are way too hard on Bailey, he does not have equal value to Andrew Ladd lol. He has net zero value, maybe leaning a little negative. He still has solid production, plays special teams and is a veteran leader. Only issue is cap space.
I hate him, but we gotta be realistic</div></div>
Let's be realistic, Ladd got traded before players making a lot lost all value
Nemeth making 2.5M for 2 years costed NYR a pair of 2nd RD picks
Bjorkstrand went for a 3rd and a 4th !!!!!!!!!!!
Sean Monahan costed a 1st rd pick to move !!!!!!!
Pacioretty was a cap dump, they had to package a young RHD in Coghlen to move him
Petry got move for a bad contract with Matheson
Brent Burns with 2.7M retained returned a low 3rd
Bailey isnt a bad player, he is just overpaid and would cost assets to move

Short on money for the players he signed
The players he traded have negative value

Kulak for a 2nd, Lagesson and a 7th

Lehkonen for a good RHD prospect + a 2nd
Romanov + 4th for 13th OA

Monahan-Suzuki-Caufield
Hoffman-Dach-Anderson
Dadonov-Dvorak-Gallagher
Drouin-Evans-Armia

RHP-Pezzetta-Heineman
Guhle-Savard
Matheson-Harris
Xhekaj-Wideman
Schueneman-Barron
Leskinen-Bowey
Allen
Montembeault
Primeau
I would cut next : Heineman, Leskinen & Bowey
Leaving RHP, Ylönen, Barron & Primeau for the last cut

Why are homers like that ? You’re acting like Bellows has zero value … if you don’t like him, just say he wouldn’t be the main piece for a Vladar trade. That’s it

Blockbuster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SlevinKalevra</b></div><div>I don’t see Stone playing at Robertson’s level much longer. Maybe even asa this year. Agree all day long on Stephenson over Faksa. Stephenson is so sneaky good. I think it’s too soon to say Hague > Harley. Harley has all the tools to be an amazing two way defenseman. And thanks to Nill adding Nils, he doesn’t HAVE TO show up this year. Benn, Segs, and Suter aren’t getting any younger. You’re not wrong. But Benn and Suter are off the books in three years when our top prospects should be coming into their primes. Everything Nill has done this offseason makes me think they’re looking to stay competitive now while setting up for three years from now. Benn, Lindell, Faksa, Suter… 22 million coming off the books. Which is why they bridged Oetter and were wanting to bridge Robertson</div></div>
I agree with you

He’s the Isles best forward by far so it’s normal he gets paid
Nick Suzuki might now be worth close to 8M right now but he is MTL best forward so he get paid. If he was (Suzuki) on a contender he would have get less, but that’s how things work

2023 4th RD pick or 2024 3rd RD pick would be the maximum on top of Bellows

Stone ~= Robertson
Stephensons >>> Faksa
Hague > Harley
So DAL get better in the short terms but older
But Seguin Benn and Suter aren’t getting younger
Tough move tho
