Predicting extensions for Seider and Raymond
Looks about right.
Lucas Raymond will get a similar deal as Matthew Boldy.
And Yzerman will definitely make Mo Seider the highest paid Red Wing.

Predicting extensions for Seider and Raymond
Looks about right for Seider no matter what happens, but a shorter deal for Raymond if he doesn't improve at about 4 million. Yzerman seems to get players signed to less than market value, so both might be a bit high.

Our former GM had problems drafting in the 1st round. Holland was the Red Wings GM for 22 drafts but only had 14 1st round picks. Out of those 14 picks he only hit on 2 Larkin and Kronwall.

My bad for not reading the title.

Push for the playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spaceman</b></div><div>Sebrango, McIssac, Johansson, Viro. Take your pick. Package one of them and a 3rd for Schenn. Only one of them may one day be a Red Wing, Certainly not all of them. But Schenn could really help get the Wings in the playoffs now and end this drought. Even if Detroit draws Boston in the 1st round and gets absolutely pumped, that playoff game experience alone is more valuable for the team than any of those prospects and the 3rd. But in the playoffs anything can happen. If Detroit plays A++ and Boston struggles even just the slightest they could pull off a Columbus Tampa type upset. Just gotta get in.</div></div>
I'm on board for acquiring Schenn. He'd really solidify our 3rd D pair. Yzerman knows you build teams in stages. No matter which year we make the playoffs we'll have to learn how to win. It doesn't happen overnight. We learned that in the 90s.

Trade deadline Toews
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spaceman</b></div><div>Toews isn't who he used to be but his leadership alone is worth a guaranteed 2nd. What he brings on the ice is worth another 2nd.
Chicago receives NYR 2023 2nd + NYR 2024 2nd. New York receives Toews. It'd be a disgrace to trade him for anything less.
Chicago won't be dealing away their captain who's given everything to that organization for scraps. He'd be re-signed to a reasonable cap hit if they can't get close to what he's worth.</div></div>
Do people legit think he's not walking away from the **** show that is going to be the hawks for the next 2-3 years?

Deadliner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spaceman</b></div><div>https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/595292/nikita-guslistov
Guslistov is currently putting up near ppg scoring in the KHL at 20 years old. It's very much a swing for a home run prospect, likely to strike out but if it connects it connects in a big way. Fast coming over is basically a body swap for Detroit. No intention on re-signing him. The 1st and Guslistov potential are the two prize returns. This is only if Bertuzzi won't re-sign or if negotiations are going south. Id much prefer to re-sign him. But his value as a rental is far lower than if he had term left at his 4.75m cap hit. A 1st, a prospect and another lower pick, 2nd if you're lucky, likely 3rd, is what he'd return as a pure rental. If it's a sign and trade then the price goes up.</div></div>
I just wasn’t sure if he has been just a monster and flying past expectations.
For Bert, I agree he doesn’t get nearly as much as a rental, I am just of the belief someone will want to have him extend. I also think it depends on how the restrictions and rules look throughout the season. If he is able to play in Canada, a playoff team will swarm in for him as a rental.

I think we all know that won't happen but it is a deep draft and there will still be some really good players available in the 10-16 range.

Hextall Brings In More Former Flyers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Old_Snowman</b></div><div>I'm not certain Edvinsson will make the roster. His WJC performance was less than stellar. Honestly a year in Grand Rapids might be what's best for him. Seider had 2 seasons in lower mens leagues (1 AHL and 1 SHL). Edvinsson has one full year in the SHL and could benefit from a full year in the AHL, same as Seider, adapting to the smaller ice surface, working the kinks out in the AHL before he arrives in the NHL.
Besides, If there's one more year to suck, the 2023 draft is the year to do it.</div></div>
I wasn't too impressed with Edvinsson in the WJC. Apparently he had food poisoning. I mean he wasn't bad. But if he's not dominating the junior level then should he really be playing in the NHL this season? Give him a season in Grand Rapids and play the snot out of him.
The reason I have him starting in Detroit is because it sure sounds like Yzerman is expecting him to. You read Kevin Allen and he basically acts like he's a lock to start in Detroit. Same as khan. I don't see what the rush is? He's 19 years old.

Plus Krug is small and Yzerman likes big defensemen and since Detroit isn't a playoff team yet that 1st will be a lottery pick. Probably between 10 and 15.
