Trading tavares’ rights at the draft would get you a fourth rounder, not a top overall pick

Malkin
Even if Malkin wanted to go to Winnipeg, they would have to give up Trouba and one of their top 6 forwards plus something else. Maybe trouba, ehlers, and little, but that probably wouldn't even cut it

Pietrangelo
Kucherov is better than Pietrangelo, not to mention all the other stuff you added. Killorn almost has no value with his contract, and Simmonds is a great top 6 winger. The picks aren't enough

I wouldn't give up that much to get rid of Callahan, maybe hajek OR a first, not both. I'm not sure if that's fair value for Tanev, I think Canuck fans will think it's not enough, but it's pretty fair imo.

Caps Aren't Screwed
I agree that the caps are definitely a good playoff team, but how much of your prospect base is just your favourite team bias? I've hardly heard of half the prospects you list here, so I bet most of them aren't going to be as good as you think they'll be. It's just like how I think Tampa has a great prospect base with Erne, Yan, cirelli, Stephen, masin, spencer, Thomas, Joseph, raddysh. I bet most of these guys won't pan out to their potential, but all people think their prospects are great

Doughty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Willian_Cardoso</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Thanks for your thoughts. Like you at some time, if the Kings want to improve their team, they have to trade Doughty for young assets. They are a middling team now stuck with some high contracts. Maybe they could still sign Doughty as a UFA, even if was traded. Kings management still have sell tickets, so maybe Doughty doesn't get traded till next season. It's almost the same as the Tavares. Isles could get a nice return but they still have to give their fanshope they are in a playoff run this season. One thing the Leafs didn't have to worry about when they traded assets was that the rink was always going to be full.
Tampa is my favourite to win the Atlantic this season.</div></div>
You're welcome.
Well, I made this trade on Bolts perspetive. If I was Kings GM, I think Doughty would be part of the rebuild. If he wants to be part of that, of course.
I swap Callahan for Palat to make this trade more reasonable. What do you think now?
As for Bolts as a favorite in Atlantic, I agree. To me, there're just two team better than Bolts in Eastern Conference. Pens and Jackets.
I don't think they will bring Doughty, but if they would, Bolts would become the best team of the league, inmy opinion. Or at least they would be as good as Pens is.</div></div>
Of course if Tampa got doughty they'd be the best team in the league, most teams would become that if they got him. I'm not sure many people would agree with you that Columbus is better than Tampa. Penguins may be better than Tampa, but it's very close and I wouldn't be totally confident in the penguins

I don't think that is even close to fair value for doughty. You really think doughty is needed to make the lightning a real contender? Aren't they already?
Doughty isn't really one of the best defenceman offensively, but he is a great all around D.
Lastly, it's especially, not specially smh

Grubauer had better spct and GAA last year, anyway.
Penguins had 3 great lines their first cup, in their second they had no depth in scoring. Their D was good the first time as well. You can't say they had average goaltending in either cup win. Murray had a 92.3% in the first run, which is easily above average. But it's a joke to say their goaltending was average in the 2017 playoffs. Fleury and Murray are the reason they won the cup. Penguins were outshot in nearly every game against the blue jackets and capitals, but fleury outplayed bobrovsky and holtby. Murray was lights out with a 93.7% SV during he playoffs, and shut out Nashville in their last 2 games. You need offence to win the cup, but goalies also are just as important

Galchenyuk, Lehkonen, Drouin, Pacioretty and Gallaghar... Oh, I forgot, we also have the worlds best goalie in net :)</div></div>
Oh yes, I'm sure galchenyuk will produce on the 4th line. Gallagher is a 2 way forward, not much of an offensive contributor, he will help out on offensive about as much as anybody else on a NHL team. Lehkonen is a nice depth guy, but again, not a game changer. They lost radulov, drouin replaces him. This team has crap offence. Also, I think people seem to forget, Price has only been the best goalie in the league one year. Holtby has had better seasons than price since then, as has bobrovsky. What happened to your best goalie in the world against the rangers? He was beat by old man lundqvist

Are the rumours anything other than Elliot Friedman's 30 thoughts? If there's more, I'd like to hear about them. That's a lot to I've up for Tavares, I think johnson would have to be part of it since he would be useless anyways if Tampa got the 1-2 punch of stamkos and Tavares. Obviously it'll have to be more than johnson, but since he has 7 years on him and Tavares only has 1 year left, I think it's pretty close

Adding dotchin to the raddysh for nurse deal wouldn't work either imo, as nurse is an upgrade from dotchin, the Lightning seem to really like dotchin and wouldn't want to trade him, unless for a proven D.</div></div>
Ask any Oilers fan they'll say PC screwed up. Russell is good an people wanted him back but for like a two year deal paying him like 2.75 million</div></div>
Yeah, PC really did screw that up. Kinda like the Reinhart trade, or the lucic contract, or the sekera contract, or the eberle trade, oh and the hall trade. Why is he GM again?

This is a horrid trade for Tampa. Callahan' contract is bad, but so is bogosian's. Stralman is a top pair guy, whereas beaulieu could hardly crack Montreal's roster, and was traded for a third rounder. Tampa's defence would be crap after this trade

Not to mention when over 13M is being talked about for another player in the team, that'll inflate his ask as well.
Also, why would the Coyotes make that trade? Strome is younger, cheaper, and still looks like he's going to pan out as someone totally worthy of a top 3 pick, whereas RNH already screams disappointment</div></div>
Strome hasn't really done much in the two years but people take a long time to develop ! With that being said Nuge is not a disappointment and his defensive game is extremely good. If you gave him someone like Gallagher or someone who would actually crash the net and battle by the boards unlike eberle did then nuge would have a lot more points! He's got amazing accuracy and speed</div></div>
Saying nuge is a good defensive player just delegitimizes your opinion

Leon's number
Why not? He's 4 years younger, has way more upside, and chiarelli is horrible at negotiating. They both have career highs of 77 points, but drai got more goals and is trending up, whereas kuznetsov looks like might not top his career high. Also, Darren Dreger is reporting that anything less than 9 mil "would be a bit of a surprise"
