playoff roster post tdl
TyJo will get scratched. Joseph has been amazing on the 4th line this season, so I don't see him sitting. Stephens played great too before the injury.
Tampa has problems of abundance

Tampa next season
Palat is not going anywhere. He's been playing close to elite level hockey ever since second round of 2020 playoff run.
Killorn and Johnson will go.

So many people seem not to understand this. Once again, Lightning front Office has surfed through cap hell in style, without losing any important piece of its roster/prospect pool.

Tampa Bay Lightning signed Anthony Cirelli (3 Years / $4,800,000 AAV)
Was expecting the AAV to be a bit lower (around 4.3-4.5), but can't really complain.

Sergachev won't get that much on a 3 years deal. No way. That's close to what Point got after a 92 points season.

With Spezza and Thornton, the Leafs have to be the favourites for the 2006 playoffs.

Johnson does not have a NMC, meaning he cannot prevent himself from being put on waivers.</div></div>
For the same reason why Hornqvist waived his NTC to go to Florida: "when I knew they didn't want me anymore, the choice was pretty obvious"

Anyone can see that NYI was drained from the PHI series. TB had a week's rest there so they looked much fresher.</div></div>
Thing is: normally it's the opposite. The team with a bye week gets man handled by the team that has been balling. This wasn't the case.
The more the series goes on, the more in tune Tampa will be and the rest they got will benefit them, while the Isles will be more and more fatigued.

Next Season
Lmao delusional thread alert.
Explain me WHY would Brisebois do this.
Killorn will be gone, Paquette will go if we need some more cap, Coburn waived and if not picked up by anyone sent to Syracuse (1.1M cap relief for Tampa).
I just love how sometimes, other teams fans that only give a superficial look at our team's Cap Friendly page, suddently think to know better our situation that we do.

An offer that will put in a better spot NOW on the ice? No. Tampa isn't interested in giving up their stud RFAs, that are/will be part of this team success, for future pieces that will take 3 years to even get the first taste of NHL.

One is used as an offensive Dman, the other isnt.
One is awful in his own zone and can't defend to save his life, the other has a great all around game and actually knows how to play defense.
You ****es should have traded Ristolainen 3 years ago when his value was high, now everybody know what kind of a (bad) player he is.

In order to get Tampa to even start to think about moving their 23 y/o, 1C you have to offer an elite prospect + high 1st rounder. And even then, it doesn't fit Tampa's needs where they are at
