Maybe shoot for Gibson or Elvis, Anaheim and Columbus are gonna be sellers unlike Carolina and I don't see VAN trading Demko. He's good and young on a good deal, unless the return is crazy for them.

pick heavy return for Chychrun
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BUFF36</b></div><div>No way does that 1st not have some kind of protection, especially with this draft coming up.</div></div>
My guess is that Adams will try to negotiate giving up the 2024 1st with no strings attached rather than the 2023 1st with conditions and up the ante on possibly 2 prospects + a roster player.
Chychrun + 23 3rd (AZ) + 24 2nd (AZ) for Mittelstadt, Bryson, Rosen, Portillo + 23 2nd (VGK) + 24 1st (BUF). Hard to see another team being able to offer more......I wonder too, given Chychrun's injury history, if Adams tries to tie conditions to how many games Chychrun is able to play.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aidpow</b></div><div>If I took Bjork out would the two picks and Jokiharju be enough? was trying to make it so he was the only roster player we would lose</div></div>
I don't think so - especially if Jokiharju is the only player in the package besides the picks. The Coyotes - or any team with an asset like Chychrun - will want players that are impact players just like Chychrun is for them. I doubt Adams will give his 1st in '23 when it's such a deep and talented draft class but he'd have to give up his 1st in '24, plus what Friedman reported as recent high 1st round prospects. Savoie and Kulich seem like dealbreakers for Adams and I don't think he'd allow Krebs to be included either. That leaves some combo of Rosen / Ostlund / Johnson as one piece and hoping either another highly-touted lower prospect like Portillo / Kisakov or a young vet like Mittelstadt / Bryson might be of interest.

That package won't get it done for Arizona IMO - and that's from a Sabres' fan perspective. Bjork is a minor-leaguer that the Coyotes only would want if the Sabres gave him a draft pick on top to take him and Jokiharju is a good defenseman but won't be an impact top pairing defenseman to replace what the Coyotes lose in Chychrun.

Righting Wrongs
If it's any consolation, the Sabres picked Isak Rosen with the first from the ristolainen trade. Seems like a reach at the moment. To be fair, he was like 5'11" and 150 pounds playing in an adult league last year, probably needs to fill out. At least for the moment, it doesn't look like the Sabres drafted a sure fire all star with the pick. I wouldn't have wanted a goalie in round 1, but cossa and wallstedt went a few picks after. Chaz lucius, othman, balduc, and lysell were on the board too.

Why would Tavares waive his NMC for Ottawa? It'll be the Leafs paying to dump Mrazek. Sabres aren't doing them any favours.

What if the Wild sign him this summer to the Connor McDavid deal since he's a superstar sniper and surely someone will give him that much if the Wild don't? I was able to sign a UFA and immediately trade them in NHL '14 so surely it works in real life.

Olofsson will likely get around 4m in the offseason. Elliotte Freidman mentioned that the Rangers were interested in him in a podcast. Can't see him fetching a 1st but this would be acceptable I think. Or a young RHD prospect.

The Sabres are 6-7-3 since Tuch joined the Sabres or 77 points for an 82 game season.
The previous 17 games the Sabres were 3-10-4 or 48 points for an 82 game season.
<strong>DeSmith, and Kapanen will not get the Penguins Tuch.</strong>
Let me add, <strong>Tuch WANTS TO PLAY IN BUFFALO!</strong>
<strong>EDIT</strong> the Sabres record since Tuch joined the Sabres.
The first game in which he played the Sabres lost in OT, which should have given them an extra point over the period.

Looking for feedback to determine the value of players and team needs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DennisReynolds</b></div><div>He would be on the third line and penalty kill for sure. There would definelty be a spot for him. He can play all three forward positions and he is Colorado’s main penalty killing forward. I’d love to have him, but that seems like more of an off-season move, another university of Michigan alumni ironically. I can see the interest in Colin Miller. He fits in great there and can play both sides with ease. His best season in Vegas was actually on the left side.
As far as the Olafsson trade. If Buffalo gets anything remotely close to a first alone for Olafsson, I would take that and run, but I don’t think he’s worth a first. He probably doesn’t factor in to the long term plans in Buffalo, but as of now, I wouldn’t move him until the off-season. The Sabres have two really good lines righty now with Tage-Tuch-Skinner and Cozens-Krebs-Olafsson. If Quinn is healthy along with a Mittelstadt who was their best player in camp, that’s two thirds of a third line. It’s not like they’ll push for a playoff spot or anything when they are healthy but you still need some guys who can play and play with the young guys.
I think Olafsson is valued at a second round pick. He’s a poorman’s Victor Arvidsson, and isn’t as well rounded, and he fetched a two and a three</div></div>
If we don't trade Olofsson or Mittelstadt there won't be a place for Compher, I know he's a decent player, but priority will be given to youth and Adams has already said that.

Colin Miller plus more
Colin Miller will most definitely be moving at this deadline, but I personally can't understand why people are proposing these type of returns. Miller, while he produces at an OK rate for a 3rd pairing dman is absolutely horrific in every other aspect of the game. I don't think he gives TOR what they need. At least IMO you guys should be looking for someone steady to tighten things up and Miller is DEFINITELY not that guy.
EDIT: I'd actually argue that Holl is a better than Miller in most aspects of the game aside from Miller's ability on the PP.
