Maybe just me but in the scrimmages I thought Byfield was invisible. Was impressed with Zary and Krebs.

Dudley left. He's one of the guys that turned Toronto, New Jersey etc around. He often bounces around from place to place, yet this bozo wants to believe it's because of the weakest offersheet ever mustered. It's not even based of Covid. Dundon is singlehandedly paying every single person who works at PNC Arena, his players, staff and some dumb person chooses to believe it's because of the Aho contract. It's just laughable.

Don't disagree, just from avs point of view they need zadadov for the playoffs and don't need to trade NHL established players for prospects Is all. They have Girard, Byram and makar for offense so Gardner is not needed

Yup I can see that. Honestly you could only guess at what svech could do next year. Could be on the same pace as last year or just really blow it up!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canesfan3030</b></div><div>Yes it would be more appropriate for sure, but the canes would still probably pass. No point taking a risk in puljujarvi when they have a proven commodity in wallmark and another high end prospect in geekie. Would you consider a wallmark for puljujarvi swap one for one?</div></div>
I wouldn't have a problem with it, but Edmonton might. Who knows? I think Puly can be resurrected with the right coaching. He's got mad skills.

TBL Johnson
I was thinking this in terms of a Willy retirement. If Willy come back, I think you scratch the trade and run it without a trade.
The way the current canes are constructed, one more right shot forward with flexibility would make the forward group one of the deepest in the league with a crazy amount of workable configurations.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canesfan3030</b></div><div>Love the trade but I honestly think you could replace the 1st and 2nd for a 3rd. The reasons why I think TJ would be a good fit are that he's a right shot, can play center and wing, and he's got a good work ethic which Rod would love. The only thing missing imo is willy. Would you send necas down to charlotte for another year just so that willy could have one last run? I think I would, and necas would be the first callup in case of injuries. The only problem is that there isn't enough cap space to sign him unless he takes a ridiculous paycut.</div></div>

I like this team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>I’d like to see Captain back. And i have more faith in Nedeljkovic or Reimer than i do in Mrazek. Mrazek was incredible in the final 3rd of the season. Until then he was Scott Darling with a sv% hovering around .890 til that hot stretch. Was right back in the .890s in the playoffs. History says he’s more the .890s guy than he is the final 3rd guy. But this is the best team they have fielded to start the season in a long time. Plenty to be optimistic about. Should be a playoff team. Goalies will decide their fate.</div></div>
I get what you’re saying, but Bostons PP killed Petr’s Save % in the playoffs. Save Percentage is a bit misleading due to the low number of shots this team gives up. Mrazek can be streaky, but he’s been the best goaltender this team has had since 09, and its not really close.

No but he would have to be the centerpiece of the deal. Slavin, High end young roster player, top prospect, first rounder

Isn't Waddell on record saying he wants a 1st for Ferland? I can see him coming off that asking price a bit...but for a 4th rounder you might as well just keep the guy and hope you sneak into the playoffs yourself

My twist on Tansors Necas deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canesfan3030</b></div><div>What I was trying to say is that the canes like their current roster well enough that they don't need to trade necas to improve it. The canes are certainly pushing for the playoffs but they are nowhere near being a cup contender, so they won't trade necas just to add pieces in the short term. While the canes are firing on all cylinders right now, I honestly don't think it's too sustainable, and they will need a player like necas in the future if they want to be legit.</div></div>
I agree completely

Trades with CAR EDM BOS TOR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canesfan3030</b></div><div>I like the idea of Staal coming back to CAR. Put him on a line w his buddy williams and rookie svechnikov. I think he'll do well in RBA's system and there's a good chance he resigns w the canes if he fits well. Maybe replace the first and fourth with a second and a third but overall nice job with that trade.</div></div>
I think he would also do well in Carolina and they could let Necas develop a bit more longer and I think he would also resign there also since they already have his brother Jorden staal there and in my opinion he would retire as a Carolina Hurricane

Management is high on Pesce because he is a defensive defenseman. Hamilton and Faulk tend to play more offensively and a similar style, which is why one of them is more likely to be offloaded.
