<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>danielcoe</b></div><div>I think slaf is more important and has more upside than newhook. If you are going to do that then send slaf to laval to play in all situations. We have great players going to laval next year so that could work...I would not play slaf in the bottom six in montreal again.. he wont develop put anderson there before i would put slaf there. bit in all honesty laval might be the best place for him</div></div>

I agree to some extent, I would have had Slafkovsky in Laval last season, in my opinion he was forced into an NHL role he just wasn't ready for. Being 19 years old, I think he is ready for a consistent 3rd line role (2nd unit powerplay) and will move up into the top 6 either through his play or if injuries necessitate it. By the end of the season I expect Slafkovsky to be playing on the top line with Suzuki and Caufield, when that happens is up to him. We honestly have to see where he is at come training camp and the start of the season, this is all just speculation from you and I until then.

If they surprise with their play in the first half, they will need them to push for the playoffs (and I know I am getting ahead of myself and setting unrealistic expectations...)</div></div>

I'm all for that too, playing center myself growing up I think it is huge having a lefty and righty on the same line that can take draws on their strong sides. Monahan + Suzuki, Newhook + Dach should yield strong face-off percentages. Plus if you have an injury at center you still have the depth, it's huge. I would always try to ice at least 6 players with center experience, probably have another one as 13th / 14th forward too.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy739</b></div><div>Our Fanbase isnt Fickle its pissed at Molson.
We didnt have these issues with Gillette
He brought us Kovalev and Souray among others
Brought us Huet to give Price and Halak time after Theodore sh*t the bed.
Bronfmans were the same way , the fans supported them as it was a mix of today and tomorrow they invested in.

Molson its Whiplash 100% of the time
Comes in 30 days before the draft throws out the plan
Drafts Leblanc in MTL upon his return and passed on Krieder which cost him a cup in 2014(he cant injure Price if he was a Habs)

Right away he had to contend and blew so much of the assets Gillette had stock piled with Gainey.
Molson as well as spending what we had while picking French players for the first time in a Decade + in the first 2/3 drafts he had.(both players busted and that stopped happening )
He spent the next decade failing to build up half the talent that Gillette did in 4 years and fumbled a lot of 1st round prospects development .
Geoff's networth is less then my Uncle's for a reason, he's the least successful son of Eric the owner who brought up Roy Debacle and lead to his family being ousted from the Chairman of the Board for over 2 decades . Andrew and Justin work for the Brewery and have their own Firm together without Geoff. Also Geoff's work history at Molson shows he was sporadically involved unlike his brothers who are a constant. 2016 when he left Molson to "focus full time on winning " we lost a lot and when he returns in 2021 when his brother won Chairman of the Board seat MTL made a SCF. The only reason he has the job is because he has the time and daddy's money. (well assets which he leveraged to get loans from the bank but without Daddy its all just dreams)

Im not saying he's a bad dude
He's just the worst possible owner you could imagine
I mean what kinda POS screws Price like that after his Prejudice in Picks cost Price is Knee.(if he bought a month later then Gainey's choosing Kreider in tune with his previous Drafts of BPA)
He's the Problem and when we fired everyone he hired for failing he shoulda stepped down as President of Hockey Operations and given it to Gorton not the VP BS</div></div>

Geeez. This is too much animosity and delusion.
