Might be true, but might not be seeing as montour played in buffalo and on his off-side, so you gotta take what you saw from him this season with a grain of salt

Even a project/change of scenery guy would be preferable (though Panik might be a Krueger guy so I wouldn't say never).</div></div>
I can't think of one at forward, in WSH. Sprong might fit the bill, but they just picked him up at the deadline, and probably are hoping the next coach lets him skate a bit. AFter missing half of the last two seasons with injuries, Johansen might fit that label, but he's another LHD, and arguably still a decent prospect. Mid-round pick(s) sounds fine, too.

As far as just adding a right shot puck mover for the third pair and second power play unit, I don't really see a difference between the three. Miller used to have a reputation for mostly offense, and had kind of an off year last year, offensively. Surprised to see he's the keeper. Montour seems solid. Bottom six forward like Panik or Hagelin get him?</div></div>
miller is the keeper because dahlin plays the best when he’s playing with miller and dahlin will develop the best when he’s playing alongside miller...i don’t think panik or hagelin get it done...want someone younger

My advice is to look into it yourself. They all sorta need sheltered minutes but Miller makes the least of the three (after Montours QO) and has put up the best results in his career.
The ask for Risto is probably an impact forward, doubt they'll get it but thats the ask. Montour could probably be had for a cost effective reclamation project or draft pick(s)</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Taxtime</b></div><div>Great question. Depending on who you ask you'll get wild differences. Haha its all good. I dont even think Reinhart makes sense to the canes they need a lw not a rw or C. Reinhart is a good player but if they are trading suzuki and 13 it needs to be the right fit

Buffalo doesn't need Ratcliffe though. Buffalo is pretty deep at LW so maybe Allison or Brink instead.</div></div>
That would be a manageable move. Obviously things would have to go near perfect for this to happen, but I thought I'd be a fun thing to try to lay out haha

Mojo is not a natural Center, Stepan is. He's one of the better FO guys in the league and a descent 2 way player. He also has good size to him. Much better fit than Mojo at Center.

40 points should be no issue for montour in 80+ games</div></div>
But the risk is now we miss on an elite talent at 8oa and lose montour for nothing?
There still needs to be a significant piece coming back to buf if were giving up the 2 best pieces in the trade

If Monahan was a “legitimate 1C” then the Flames wouldn’t be trading him... more like “disappointing 1C”
And i sure hope there’s no way we give up Cozens (or our 1st this year) for him

Rebuild Litmus Test
If the Flyers gave up that much for Johnny, Chuck Fletcher should be run out of town. Konecny isn't far off Johnny in terms of what he brings, and TK has more grit to his game than Johnny. Frost and York are two top notch level prospects. Extreme overpay. You'd be lucky to get Konecny and one of those prospects, and even that is an overpay. Zero chance you'd get Konecny and both of those prospects.
In all honesty, the fit between philly and johnny is the hometown connection only. He doesn't really move the needle much for us to be honest. He's an overrated player. The package you have outlined should give the flyers an elite player.

Eichel
Dahlin
Cozens

Smoothing things over
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Taxtime</b></div><div>Really depends on what you think about Domi as a center. Assuming he can play center, you checked the other box needed at LD so it's definitely a fair offer. Would just depend on what else 8 OA could get Buffalo.</div></div>
He was good at Center, but Julien, as always, messed it up by moving him. He's a player I personally would love to keep. And yes, always depends what else would be offered to Buffalo, so Bergevin can't wait to much.. He needs to move to get space or picks. I'd also move Petry while he's at a high value.
I'd have Suzuk/Domi 1st/2nd line depending on the match ups (but keep their wingers intact for easy play capabilities), KK 3rd line.. Move out Danault, bring in Brassard.
