FYI Try more like 8 x $8,500,000 for Moritz Seider and 8 x $7,500,000 for Lucas Raymond. There's zero chance that Raymond makes anywhere close to Seider money.</div></div>
Total money is the same between the 2, kept it 8 each just to save time. Also Mo hasn't been great lately and Raymond has been carrying the team. Wouldn't surprise me if they get Similar deals.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Grebby14</b></div><div>Not really familiar with Wallinder. What is his projection looking like and how does he compare to Edvinsson?</div></div>
He was an early 2nd from a few years ago and is playing his first year in north America. He's a big kid, 6 4, great skater but the offensive side of his game needs work. Is projected to he a 3/4 guy. Would be a great fit for an offensive guy like Drysdale. Think edvinsson with less offense.

Wings have plenty of LD prospects. Maybe wallinder, and someone like veleno or berggren. Or if they want a prospect they could go with mazur.

probably not a wild offseason
I don't think Detroit would love to move walman but I would probably accept the trade if ullmark would extend in the 6-7 a year range.

Fix the defense
I would personally rather buyout Holl then give up any asset to a team to take him. His buyout isn't that expensive. I would also like to keep Maatta, he's an excellent 6/7 defenseman. Andersson is definitely an ideal trade candidate but that 3rd would need to be a 1st to get it done. A deal around Berggren, Johansson and a 1st likely gets done if Calgary wants to move him.

Thanks, I couldn't remember any in the past few years. Wasn't Schneider a young up and coming goalie though? Not a 30 year old overpaid vet.

I have a hard time seeing gibson landing a return of a 1st round pick. He could maybe go for a real late 1st but detroits pick will be in the 12-18 range. He's been below average for a while now, yes he's been on a poor team but a similar replacement in husso plus a prospect, 2nd and 3rd rounder seems like a fair price.

Is his value really that high. He's been below average for the last while. I know he's had a bad team in front of him but I don't see him commanding a massive return. When was the last time a goalie was dealt for a huge return?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Unfortunately there's not much Yzerman can do to upgrade his goaltending.
He'll just have to live with Husso and Lyon next season.
Ideally he could have a vet goalie for 2 years.
It's all about buying time for Cossa who's had an excellent season in Grand Rapids.
He's 21 years old.
Cossa will play next season in Grand Rapids.
Year after he'll likely serve as a back-up goalie in Detroit.
Year after in 26-27 he'll be ready to start.
They also have Augustine who looks like a very good goalie prospect.
He just turned 19. LOL
He backed Team USA to a gold medal win at the WJC.</div></div>
Yeah cossa is going to be the guy but he won't be ready for a few years. Gibson will help bridge the gap and serve as a mentor for cossa.

Absolutely not. Detroit will not have the cap room to extend ullmark in the 8 million range and they shouldn't be moving cossa to do so. Berggren veleno and a 2nd sure but I still think they wouldn't have the room to extend him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FriendlyGhost</b></div><div>Nice. Pointless personal attacks to deflect from what is a God awful proposal.
What's incredible is that you apparently thought "The return" was the problem and not the fact that PLD sucks. He got paid and he's checked out. He's been a known bum since Tortorella outed him as one, and now that he got his $68M contract he's done putting in an effort.
LA is stuck with him.</div></div>
Wasn't a personal attack. I'm blown away that someone on here has that many posts. Is it a highly unlikely and probably poor decision yes, but it's fun to pretend.

8.5m can be spent a lot better than PLD.
Kane for three years???</div></div>
59000 posts? I feel like I'm talking to Jesus here. My math tells me that's somewhere around 18 a day for 9 years!!!!???? Anyways the return was just thrown together, not sure what the package would be but if it doesn't include any high end assets I'm interested. The Kane extension was 3 years to keep the aav down.

Swap the veleno and perron contracts and it makes me feel better. I can't handle watching perron drag himself around the ice for another season, especially at 2.5. He's worth maybe 1 million at this point. 4th line leadership role.

They have had very similar levels of production so far. Not sure holtz would want to extend given his lack of top 6 minutes. Figured detroit could give him that opportunity and the devils get a similar player back plus a pick.

My thought would be the trade would happen after the draft so that's why I made it a 2025. Figured boston would rather have a tradeable asset instead of a 2nd rounder that won't contribute for 5-7 years.
